He did the wonderful soundtrack for the TV extended movie “Get Shorty”, which was remarkable in that the whole score was just drums and percussion. No melodic instruments….no guitar, piano, anything. And its fantastic and should be required listening for all drummers.

I hated that movie and honestly fuck that director after he won several Oscar’s, got up on stage multiple times and never once mentioned Sanchez. Even if you like the movie, it has to be acknowledged that his drums are the driving force of the film (imo the only good thing) and not a word.
