Last winter an unexpected invitation led freediver and spearfisher Kimi Werner to Isla Robinson Crusoe, a remote outpost 400 miles off the Chilean coast. Sharing experiences with new friends both in and out of the water, Kimi was welcomed into a resilient community still recovering from the devastating tsunami of 2010. The island’s residents are learning that connecting with nature means connecting with each other-and that’s often the best way to get back on our feet again.
