I wonder why anyone would even bother siding with the villains. The good guys have all the big, supernatural powers and allies behind them. The Light, Elune, the Aspects, the Elemental Lords, the Titan Watchers, the Ancients. And we have beaten the Legion, even their most powerful generals, several times already. Why would anyone side with them? To be a god-king for a week rather than be a regular warrior for a lifetime?

Bindair Dundat Well the legion is filled with demons able to corrupt peoples minds and since DHs (Demon hunters) are mostly demons rather than belf/nelf the legion most likely had a way to draw out the demonic side or make the DH succumb to their demon blood within them and work with the legion to gain more power. TLDR: DEMON MAGIC AND LORE.

The aspects were originally protodrakes, and were tasked with the destruction of a massive protodragon that threatened stuff. They were imbued with magic to become dragons. Other (possibly older) protodrakes were probably turned into dragons for the purpose of... procreation. It's also possible that he's the oldest blue dragon with the death of Malagos, and the quest dialogue is missing the word blue.

I am really starting to feel like we are going to go after n'zoth and the queen herself after legion, id like to see an entire expension on it, the new islands, kul tiras, zandalar, etc, i'd be so happy to get an expension related to the seas and using huge pirate ships, having your own ship, finaly, going to the unknown naga kingdoms, and the old god n'zoth himself, i think it would make an absolute fucking amazing expension.

Great video! I think the reason the Elves were ready to forgive their prince is that he isn't just a shemer whose plans went wrong, but someone standing up directly to danger and evil. Also their bravery might have shamed them when they realise that this is the sort of evil he was against all along, while they thought they could stay neutral.

I absolutely adore the quest writing and stories told in this zone, undoubtedly one of the best blizzard has ever met. my speculation on the naga's desire for the tidestone is that the Naga have their own agenda. the pillars all have uses outside of what we are attempting to use them for and the tidestone's possible use is in its name. if the Naga controlled the tides azshara would be able to rule over azeroth and she's certainly ambitious enough to try

I got the impression that Cordana has feelings for Khadgar and she betray us to serve to the Legion to get his attention or to save him for something else after all being in love can cause a person to behave strangely and irrationally or is like the case of Cia from Hyrule Warriors, who was originally a sorceress at the service of good to watch over the Triforce, but she fell in love with Link, and became jealous that he was always destined to be with Princess Zelda and this made her an easy prey for Ganondorf's corruption, and also caused her good side to split off of her, becoming Lana. So maybe Cordana become evil because she was jealous that Khadgar show that he care more for Garona and this made her an easy prey for Guld'dan's corruption or because she want to save him because she care for her Khadgar-sempai.

I think Azshara tried to enslave Neptulon and we freed him from that. There was supposed to be a raid about it in Cataclysm but they took it out. Those underwater dungeons were supposed to be based around it and there is a video about the scrapped raid made by hayven you should check out.

Throne of the tides dungeon ends with Ozmuat (who was a minion of the naga / old gods) capture Neptulon at the end of his encounter. In the scrapped raid, we were meant to rescue him. However because it was cut, blizzard released via twitter that Neptulon broke free from Ozumat and on the beta, he had tamed the beast. However this was cut for live (no idea why). To insult to injury, blizzard also said the ending of TotT was a 'good ending'. a cliffhanger is a good ending? O.o

DrSandwich Queen Azshara was trying to enslave Neptulon to have control over the Abyssal maw, so now instead of controlling Neptulon because he is free and is allied with the Shamans, she creates her own version of him. There is your reasoning for resemblance.

Here's my take on things. Queen Azshara and the Naga are desperate to take over the surface world and possibly drown it. They made their first real attempt during the Cataclysm, when they kidnapped Neptulon to try and take over his realm (even though I guess they've retconned that bit since he's around the Shaman Order Hall?). Then there's the restoration shaman artifact questline, where the seawitch is trying to use the ancient Sceptor to control the sea giants, and is hinted to have other motives (especially since Queen Azshara wants it). There's a constant pattern. As to why they waited until we came to the Broken Isles, it's possible that Queen Azshara didn't know that the Tidestone was still operational. Afterall, she's the one who destroyed it to stop Farondis, she probably thought it was gone forever. Our arrival onto the Broken Isles to gather the Pillars is possibly what led her to believe that the Tidestone was in fact still around and able to be fixed. I also have another small theory. For the first time, we witnessed Queen Azshara able to actually transform back into her night elf form. We've never seen the Naga do this. Maybe other Naga are able to do so too, and maybe there's a spy keeping an eye on us? It could explain why Athissa was so quick to follow us into the chamber that kept the Tidestone other than going with it being too coincidental, and why she said "the brainless oaf led us right to it." The Naga are powerful, clearly more powerful than we fully understand. What do you think, Nobbel?

My main guess for why they wanted the tide stone, and why they wanted it now, is because of Azshara's obsession with Sargeras. Essentially, she didn't care about Azuna all that much, they were cursed and they could suffer all on their own, however with the legion returning, and focusing on the Broken Isles, it was the perfect time to grab a powerful relic, summon a powerful beast, and destroy all resistance in Azuna and beyond, thus helping please her love Sargeras.

There is simple reason why Azshara wants the Tidestone. To found the answer there is really just one question to ask: Why now? What is so special about now and wasn't here for 10 000 years? The answer is simple The Legion. Her lovedone is coming once again and time has come to break the bonds with Old gods, but to do that she needs a powerful artifact (such as Tidestone). By taking it from her we are basically helping Old gods, since they want the Pillars to escape their prisons.

I think Queen Azshara is after the same goal she wanted when she tried to capture Neptulon, complete control of Azeroth's oceans. Whether she is trying to do so for N'zoth, the Legion or herself is unknown but her end game is obvious, flood the continents and place everything and everyone under the sea under her absolute control. Something I believe Tyrande Whisperwind, along with the rest of Azeroth would have a problem with.

Maybe they say that because 10,000 years ago, they didn't think it was actually him "standing up to the Queen herself" and was just following someone else for politics sake, but this time, they saw him stand up against the Queen all on his own and 'defended' (the people of Azsuna will always be too proud to kneel before your demonic allies, witch) him and his people for now by standing up against her without anyone else. Of course, that's just a guess on my part.

The whole Naga and Xavius thing is kinda confusing. Xavius was crated by the legion, served the legion, the satirs are even considered demons, but he helps the old gods. The Naga are created by the Old Gods but deal stuff that hinders us fighting the legion. Also at 12:13 the naga says, that we don't understand the power of the tidestone. I know its minor and maybe its nothing, but blizz rarely puts trash dialog in such quests. So i think its some kind of a teaser. And all those things are kinda not fitting together. Sargeras is a sworn enemy of the voidlords - he want to stop them, even if that means to destroy the univers. So the legion must be confronting the Old gods, not joining them. The Old gods mision is to corrupt the titan spirit, and the legion wants to kill the spirit before that. Then why does the satyrs help the old gods, and deepen their influence on the titan spirit of azeroth? And why the Naga want the stone and don't let us seal the portal of the legion? I mean it will help them alot - the legion will not destroy azeroth - the Old Gods will have a chance to corrupt the spirit. Maybe Queen Azshara knows more about the pillars than we do. Maybe we have been deceived. In the past when she opens the portal to the legion. I don't think that she will do such a mistake again - to help the legion, since she saw what happens to her and her people. And i don't think the old gods will let her do that - they are master strategists and deceivers. Maybe she knows that the pillars will be used not to close the portal for the legion, but to summon sargeras or destroy azeroth. I mean they have tremendous power. They were not needed in the past to seal the rift. Why use them now? Is now the rift greater? Then why Sargeras himself is not here to own and one-hit the planet - he can do that? And the whole Bolvar-Lich King thing is so suspicious. It is like almost obvious the has been corrupted. That is not the old Fordragon. And not by ner zul, but by the old gods. They have corrupted titan watchers, dragon aspects, most of the races on Azeroth. And the new Lich King is bound to be mentally unstable. But at least he is acting like he is supposed to - thy to stop the legion invasion, helping us, using us, manipulating us. Maybe Xavius was seduced by the old gods to switch sides. But he still does things that help the legion. I think the whole thing will have a major tun-back at the end, and all our efforts will backfire severely on us. O, and i have 1 question - Nobbel, what do you thing happens when a titan awakens - will he be the whole planet, will he shatter the earth and kill all life on the planet? What will happen ot Azeroth is a good question, because if it means destruction, then is the titan is good or bad its the same for the inhabitants.

Considering the Naga said Queen Azshara could reform the Tidestone and the fact that the Tidestone dropped off the Wrath of Azshara, I'm guessing her reason for hunting the Tidestone was simply to create the Wrath of Azshara to wreak havoc against us. We were only able to defeat the Wrath because we stopped the ritual that would unleash its full power.

Theory: Azshara could not enter the Academy to gather the fragments of the stone. If she had revealed herself in night elf form to the Academy, they would have immediately known the truth, just as Farondis had, and the power that protected that door was greater than her own. There's also a possibility that Azshara could not sense where the fragments of the Tidestone were, because they were not only shattered but hidden under two layers of magical barriers, and it was only when we brought down the second barrier (using the Tidestone Vault Key) could she sense where the fragments were and sent Athissa (who was commanding the naga armies at the Academy) to retrieve it. So we open up the room and she sends her lieutenant in to take the fragments, knowing she, Azshara, is the only one who can reassemble them. Then she summons the Wrath directly under Dalaran's nose as bait, knowing we would come immediately to quash a very underpowered Wrath and take the Tidestone, now fully formed, into Khadgar's secret vault. Why? Il'gynoth tells us in the Emerald Nightmare that the five pillars are essentially the keys to unlock the prison of N'Zoth, and this would clearly earn Azshara tons of rep with her master under the sea. She might even get herself to Exalted! So we've done her work for her. She just needed someone to go out and gather the mats for her.

I assumed the spirits changed their minds because they saw Azshara for what she is, they would of though he ... not evil when still alive. As for the tide stone, the legion attack would certainly be why the naga attack now, with no legion the spirits could get back up for other forces, focus all their attention on them, etc. NFI why they wanted it though, something to do with N'Zoth for sure though.

Senegos reminds me of the never ending story. How does Khadgar know that Queen Azshara is after the stone? There is an enchanting quest in azsuna where a satyr tells you of the wellspring and that same wellspring was able to change the satyr back into his former self. If that can be done can Azshara and the naga also be changed back? What about Illidan etc. When I did the quest Farondis shoots fireballs at the queen while he is talking but in your video he only does the rain. Blizz needs to work on those things like the dialogues overlapping. The brother and sister you were talking about have a quest for enchanters I think and they talk about the encounter with Farondis and Azshara and they find out the truth about what happened, that is why I think they change their attitude towards the prince. There was supposed to be a raid in Cata with Azshara and neptulon and all that underwater goodness but that was scrapped. My guess she wanted the stone for a similar reason since she was trying to enslave neptulon and she failed and the shamans have gained him as an ally.

Maybe the Naga couldn't attempt to reach the Broken Isles (and thus Azsuna) before because it was somehow simply not around? I mean if the whole thing was always there then the expeditions that went to Northrend would clearly have seen the broken isles, at least the human expedition from Stormwind would. Though this would still raise the question where the broken isles went in the first place, if they were merly submerged in water then it should've been absolutely no issue for the Naga to reach them. Maybe they just didn't know it's location because due to the sundering the landmasses went all over the place. Though 10.000 years is a REALLY long time to go through the great sea.. I am confused D:

Whole purpose of the Legion is to eradicate beings like the Old Gods. They are not looking to "bend them to their will".

hmm this is very confusing if nZoth is after azhara and xavius who are against us while we are fighting the legion then that means old gods are helping the legion and if we assume using the pillars to open the prison shouldnt they be helping us get them instead of helping the legion against us??

I know the feel. :/ I played on private servers several years ago and one month on retail MoP. Couldn't keep it up because no money and time. Then in Legion prepatch I used the code from WarCraft movie and had a blast for a whole month and then when Legion hit I couldn't afford Legion. Now I'm saving up every penny I can from my salary to buy it. (it's kinda hard to save the money because I'm living by myself and WoW costs 3 days of work in my country)

FakeGodz 70$ is one third of my salary. In Serbia minimal wage is ~1.12$/h. I work for ~1.30$/h and I'm self sustaining student. So when I pay the rent, bills, a bit of food I got 10$ - 50$ (depends on how much was I able to work because of college) to survive the next month and pay college expenses if there are any. Even 26$ for WoW on G2A is too much for me. :) Game token is around 62k on EU. And as much as I want to play the only class I ever truly wanted to play (Demon Hunters) and as much as I want to see my childhood hero (Illidan) I'm glad that I can at least still follow the story thanks to Nobbel. :)

Hey Nobble. Can you explain how warlock works in lore? DH consume demon to use his energy, but what about warlocks? How they can use fel energy without goin full crazy and why demons sign contracts with them? DId blizzard ever explained it? As a warlock main Im confused why all those demons on my planet is loyal to me just cause I killed general of their true boss.

Aszuna is my second favorite zone quest wise after suramar. Aestheticly suramar is also better but I also like stormheim which ranks Aszuna third on my list. Val sharah is forth and Highmountain fifth both Aestheticly and quest wise for me. Highmountain felt kind of dull and grindy while val'sharah's nightmare areas are super annoying but I really like the worgen village, black rook hold and the forest.

***** This isn't the ultimate demon expansion, story of Legion thus far makes it pretty clear that we are going to attack Argus at some point in the future, and that will be both the ultimate demon expansion and the end of Warcraft for this chapter. I believe they are going to take a turn towards the Old Gods after Nighthold and rest of the expansion will be dealing with that.

The Naga may have betrayed the old gods Ill' gynoth says indirect says that we will use the pillars of creation to free the old gods, and now the naga wan't the Tidestone. Or are they trying to not make us use the pillars? So the old gods can feed opon the chaos, and the naga useing it to create more? Who is truly with us? Who is with the Legion? and who is with the old gods? But a lot of the information given by The old gods and by the Legion is a bit cryptic. And I think that the night elfs of Azuna didn't wan't the Well of eternaty destroyed, since they practiced magic.

I feel like they fight us just to keep an illusion we are doing good. If we just got the Pillars of creation, it would look suspicious. But when we meet resistance it's like they are trying to stop us from doing something good, when we are actually doing their jobs.

Jordan Read The Old gods is feeding opon chaos. So the fact that we fight the Old Gods makes them stronger. In my country we have a saying: Many small streams make one big river. So the fact that we fight them in many smallere fight insted of one big will create more chaos for them to feed on.
