Just how many beers did you drink at Beatallica's first EVER show (anywhere) in El Paso TX?
@starkeffect4 жыл бұрын
@@VVeber Not too many, since I had to run the merch table. A *lot* of young people came up to the table expecting to get a free CD. They were a bit disappointed when I told them they had to download it.

Nicely done, sir! Thanks for taking the time to get my early involvement in the band correct. It was a fun time that I look back on fondly. Wish those guys nothing but the best. \m/ ~The First Kliff

Hats off to you, sir! It was a blast putting together and learning about everyone involved. This band has been a big influence on my curiosity and drive as a musician and composer, so thank you for being such a big part of it! - Mike

Saw you with the band at a backyard party in Chicago. The dude had the greatest lawn.

@@MurphDawgnit That was a fun night! One of the more "interesting" shows I've played. Especially considering that Ringo Lars (Ryan) ended up getting wasted on vodka, and I had to drive his truck back up to Milwaukee. LOL!

I've been a fan of the band since I think 2004 when someone tipped me to their music. I immediately went to their site and downloaded everything, and I still have those files on my hard drive. I know I either pestered Dixon or someone on the website/mailing list about when they were touring and was given a very vague answer. A few years later, they announce that they're coming to my hometown, and I discover that several of my friends are also heavily into them. Now here it is over 16 years later and I've seen them in my hometown 3 times, and one of those times they played Nashville and a town about 70 miles away from here, so I got to see them 3 times in a single year, a new record for me. I'm friends with pretty much everyone in the band and for all I know I'm probably their biggest fan(if not, there aren't many rivals...not that we'd be rivals). Anyway, thanks for the video.

I found The Thing That Should Not Let It Be on a hungarian site in 2002. We have listen to it so many times since then with my firends. Though, I never thought that this is a real band not just a one shot, and they have this incredible story. Thanks for sharing it!

I remember downloading A Garage Dayz Night in 2002 with napster or audiogalaxy or soulseek but I had no idea about this story or the fact they kept making music. this is awesome.

Dude this is so cool. Thanks for doing this documentary it brought back some awesome memories! I remember seeing them at a small festival in Germany, Earthshaker, in 2007, I think. They were playing in the dead last slot at like 1 AM in front of 20-30 people but man they were awesome and having a good time. They came down for a chat after the gig and were just overall the coolest dudes. I saw them again a couple of years later in Nuremberg, to a similar crowd and again, it was an awesome gig and good times. I still have a shirt with their signatures, including 'Spliff McBurtney' hahaha

Parody would cover one instance of doing a parody of the two bands mixed together. Parody doesn't cover full albums worth of these same parodies. BUT I'm glad these songs are being made. Beatallica rocks.

Those guys were my bridge between The Beatles and Metallica. I remembered hearing For Whom Michelle Tolls for the 1st time, and wondering "what the fuck was that?", then heard Bells after that and that was it, I've entered what I call the Metal Rabbit Hole. Cheers n Beers to Beatallica and to you for making this documentary, man!

I know the guy that managed and made the band HUGE... David Dixon Phd. @ saddleback college would be the guy to interview. He got a Cease order from Sony and Lars stepped up and offered Metallica's lawyers FOC. Dixon has an interview at Harvard law floating around on the web about this and copywrite law.

Mike Portnoy does seem to be a great guy. However, I've heard from multiple sources what a complete muppet he is: from making disparaging remarks about the NHS, acting like a cretin towards other musicians, and just being plain arrogant...Thus, I'd take the 'awesome' comment with a full sack of salt!
