Splendid....and brilliantly read out as well. Drove my blues away.

I’m a little embarrassed to say that at 46 I’ve never read this book. I have never even seen a movie. It is fantastic & the reading is superb. Thank you for having this audiobook

I too am 46 (although I am 2 years younger than you since your comment was 2 years ago making you 48). I LOVED the books as a kid and reread them every so often. I also grew up with the 1967 movie which took elements from several books and adding the obligatory female character, but was still a fun watch

Have you read "The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle"? If not ,read/listen to it. You'll love it. I did.

I really enjoy the way you read. Each character is given their own voice. It brings them to life much more was while listening. 😊 Thank you!

Great voice for storytelling, very pleasant and not to be taken as a complaint but merely a query. Many readers are terrific at voice characterizations yet few if any are able to skip over identifying the speaker for every quote, it would be nice not to have to hear the horse said, the doctor said, this one said, that one said , repeatedly thru the entire reading....it kind of makes the voice characterizations meaningless. I would think skipping over ' said " has to be at least as easy as knowing when to use each voice characterization.

If they don't use "said" then it would have to be adapted into a theatrical audio

This was a lot more racist than I thought it would be
@SJHFoto2 жыл бұрын
Actually for its time, it is a lot LESS racist than many books were. The Black people don't talk in an uneducated dialect, and while there are some stereotypes, they are generally much more intelligently portrayed than a lot of literature from the time
