I think her having such a diverse music taste is what makes her stand out so much. Other than her raw, undeniable talent - she very clearly listens to a variety of genres and you can tell cause she's always listening to the most random songs whenever she goes live. Sometimes it'll be pop, sometimes it'll be rock, sometimes it'll be alt, sometimes it'll be some medieval sh*t... But her diverse music taste definitely helps her take the best elements of each genre and forge it into her music. I also think she'll be a legend for sure given the fact she can produce on her own, that in itself puts her 10 steps ahead her peers.

agree with everything you said. she’s gonna be a legend cause you can see the creativity is a natural born gift. she said herself her father wasn’t in her life much but yet she still inherited his creative gifts so that shows it’s just in her, she didn’t even have to grow up around it. Also she basically taught herself to produce & play instruments cause she didn’t take years and years of music lessons or something. my point being she just has IT naturally

@miracraigfan17382 жыл бұрын
Came from nothing? She has an extremely successful father (deadbeat , sure but still..) an older brother & was born into a family with marriage, living in an ok neighbourhood with mostly white “scaterboard” kids, had the opportunity to go to school & learn other cultures/dances as well as her mother & grandmother being successful painters with their own studio. She had the opportunity to take classes in pop-lock/hip hop professionally from middle school & had the opportunity to create/record music on soundcloud with her own computer/her own bedroom & a brother who’s a great producer to help, along with never having issue buying things she wanted, did dance-offs undergound, & promoted her music. She’s had struggles, but she had a good start both genetically & physically to focus on her craft….she didn’t start from the bottom, ppl knew her parents & the industry made note & offered her a contract before she turned 18yo (bc they’re shady, don’t know if she was signed as a singer, songwriter, rapper…but she got signed). Amala never had a difficult upbringing or teen-years…struggling with school/mental health/getting ahead, are entirely different than starting from the bottom or having a difficult upbringing. It doesn’t take away from her talent, but let’s be clear abt those struggling with abusive parents, physical health issues, economy, a place to sleep, meds to function etc
@miracraigfan17382 жыл бұрын
@@danielalonso5026 Definitly a deadbeat father, only saying anything when she popped off….However entertainment is global, Amala was signed the record label was probably aware of her fathers success….You see all the random come ups (even Migos) was tied to the industry as children or through family & competition….

Doja Cat has an older big brother(who has a daughter) & I believe both were born while their parents while married. From my understanding, her father just left his family for a career in Africa, & started a new family, with an unknown amount of half siblings…She tried to reach out to her father at the age of 13yo but he never replied or did anything to meet her. When she got signed & so fame during moo he started writing “my African princess” on her pics on IG..& when she hit the charts he’d talk abt her in interviews, but still they’ve never met eachother…..Her father has fame/money & vould easiky have visited her, esp when she got some fame…but he didn’t & I doubt she really feels like having a realtionship with him when he obviously didn’t do anything to built a relationship & she’s almost 30yo. It obviously had a huge negative impact on her & is possibly part of the reason for her immaturity & addiction for validation online :/

@miracraigfan17382 жыл бұрын
She had a really good fundation, her grandma/ma are both visual artists, she was taught dance at an early age & had a brother who’s also musically gifted…I’m sure her label knew exactly who she was. Also for her to even make music, she had her own room, living in Cali , never had issue with parents on drugs/CPS/Severe bullying, had food on the table & could drop outta school to make music,she was given equipment like computers/mic/keyboard & was able to by astectically pleasing clothes/MU/Wigs (had a nosejob after getting signed, possibly payed for by the industry) & had friends in the industry that shouted her out, cleaned up her songs & produced her beats… A lot of kids/young adults don’t have their own room , are allowed to drop outta school to make music & smoke weed…most don’t live in CA where a lot of Music/film production/recording happens, & having ur own instruments/computer/built-in-mic with famous producers couching you….DC may have been underground, but she has a lot of privilege that I don’t see in other kids, that needs to be aknowledged ! To think Doja Cat made a music career without her parents is wishful thinking, her father is talented/rich/famous/narrcissistic & the mother had to sign the legal documents as DC was only 17yo…She couldn’t legally sign the contract alone…

I personally don’t like her entilement & immature attitude since the success pf say so, she keeps giving negative energy, & I just hope she grows out of it, as I’d like to support her music still! For those that don’t believe talents are inherited should study up on genetics. Both my grandfathers were succesful painters (among other things) I syarted drawing/painting by myself at an early age & would sell draawings on Ebay in highschool were there was a high demand…My uncle & mother can do stickdrawings…genes skip generations… :) Have a nice day ~

Shading lady gagas chromatica at the end of your video just to make a point about planet her isn't exactly a cool move. Both albums were great and had the same "fantasy concept" but different execution. Let's not forget Doja has on occasion cited gaga as one of her inspiration. Let's also not forget that chromatica came out before "planet her" . Gaga had to seize promotion of that album given what was going on at the time "covid" to focus on philanthropic efforts around the pandemic.
