Nah they both make experimental music but I find FKA twigs in a league of her own. I really connected with grimes but the last couple of years have been disappointing. prodigies or not I think her experience is similar for a lot of "alt"-poc kids especially growing up in areas where we are one of few, if not the only, POC . Here, for example, if you are mixed race, even though your skin may be medium tone like Zendaya if your hair is straight you are considered white, if your hair is curly you r straight seen as a black person. Great video! I love twigs artistry, and I vibe that she came from the same country part of uk as me and yet is very experimental and artistic. Interesting to see the full story, really shows how many factors come together. Like if there hadn’t been budget cuts maybe she would’ve pursued therapy more than her own performance. Interesting how racism is what spurred her to have such a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, how something horrible can have a beautiful outcome. I remember seeing an interview where she talked about how encouraging her parents were of her unique creativity, I think it’s one of the greatest gifts you can give a child to support their creativity and not project shame/judgement onto them.

I love all of your videos thank you so much! Love how queer and trans inclusive your storytelling is. I'd love to watch longer videos 💯🤍 also if you make videos of 10 minutes and longer, youtube will be able to place ads also in the middle which in turn means more support and growth to you 💗💗💗💗💗💗🎉💯🤍🤍😌🙏🏽

Wow! I love her music! Can’t believe she was brainwashed by her cookie cutter lookalike classmates into doubting her beauty. Look at her now!
