Gyomei is one of my favorite character his backstory was sad and he protected everyone till the end. When I finished reading the manga and when he passed away I went up in tears When the hashira meeting happened I knew he had to be the strongest he was a goat, mvp, he was carrying in the fight of muzan he was glorious and he died peacefully

And Rengoku didn't even have the mark and still put a heck of a fight against someone who would have killed Tanjiro and a marked Giyuu if his wife hadn't intervened and made him give up...

If I recall correctly from the manga, I'm pretty sure that Himejima didn't die because of his battle against Muzan It was because he activated the mark and was past the age of 25 when he did it That's how strong he was He fought Upper Moon 1 and Muzan but they weren't able to kill him I'm pretty sure that he is the strongest Demon Slayer ever after Yoriichi and Michikatsu(Kokushibo)

Gyomei is my 3rd favorite hashira after Rengoku and Uzui, definitely the strongest of his generation but not the God of Hashira... that title belongs to Yoriichi even if Yoriichi isn't an official hashira. Yoriichi made Hashira profession and invented the "breathing styles", he's definitely the God of Hashira -- none of them put FEAR into Muzan like Yoriichi did.

True but he's the strongest Hashira, the lower moons were gone. Pitting him against random weak demons wouldn't have done him justice.
