Hey guys! I just wanted to address a frequent complaint regarding ads on my videos. As far as I can tell, and if you know otherwise PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I have no control over the ads shown once the video has been made ineligible for monetization due to a copyright claim (which ALL of my "Story of's" have). This means I cannot change or remove the ads in any way and I receive none of the revenue for the video. I'm okay not getting the revenue, but it seems KZbin or the copyright holder is going out of control with the ads and placing them every few minutes or so in my videos. If there is away around this, I have yet to find it. Anyway, I just wanted to clear that up. As always, thanks for watching!

4 is actually my favorite Halloween movie. I love the opening, it really captures the eerie feel of Autumn in a rural area. The only thing I found odd in the movie is how it introduced characters I expected to be canon fodder for Michael who then just disappear. The teen friends in the drug store, the crazy priest guy searching for the devil. He should have come face to face with Michael and found what he was searching for.

As a big horror and slasher movie fan I just remember being a kid in the mid-late 2000s and watching all the Halloween movies for the very first time back in the day during Fear Friday and MonsterFest later Fear Fest on AMC. Fun nostalgic times!! Unpopular opinion i guess? I genuinely enjoy the new Halloween films and had a blast with Halloween Kills flaws and all, however Halloween 4 is in my top 5 of this franchise along with Halloween (1978), Halloween 2 (1981), Halloween H20, and Halloween (2018) honestly in no particular order.

This movie sits next to "Aliens" for me as the film most forsaken by it's own franchise. Why? Cause Alien 3 killed off Hicks and Newt like it meant nothing and was just a total disaster, destroying any real sense of caring that was put into the previous film. Now, "Halloween 4" got a good sequel even if the pacing was a bit off, and honestly both versions (editors cut or normal cut) of Curse Of Michael Meyers don't seem to know what story they are telling (feels like there needs to be middle version of it truthfully cut together). However, this film gets literally ignorantly ignored by H20, which could've been ok if Ressurection didn't totally waste 1hr after the solid opening-I mean why not use it to bring back jamie loyd? danielle harris played a different character in the remakes, she could've returned earlier to reprise her role. Halloween (2018) again just ignored everything including LITERALLY replacing the daughter character which was stupid af and danielle harris even spoke up about it, and even worse than ignoring Halloween 4 in the very least (plus H20), was Halloween II. Halloween "we forgot to add a subtitle" is an abomination, worst entry in the franchise including the reboot(s).

Excellent video. Great combination of history, behind the scenes, and summary of the movie. Nice job editing this whole thing. Well done 👍 I'd say this is my 3rd favorite in the series behind the original Halloween 1 & 2.

My uncle started me on the 1978 original when I was 6 and it has become my favorite series. I own every movie til this point but I would have to say 4 is my favorite. Maybe as a kid it scared me the most, I don't know, it just sits as my favorite.

This is what I try to explain to people when I tell them how much I love these movies. Watching these as a child at the height of horror slashers was incredible and rewatching them now always brings me back to that place. I remember watching 5 in particular in the theater, I was about 5 years old, my dad didn’t care, he took me to all these movies. But I vividly remember the opening credits, the pumpkin being carved, my feet not even being able to touch the floor and I was as thrilled as I could be. I remember one Halloween soon after my brother having a little portable tv and us watching part 2 in the car. These films may not be technically good, but boy are they special.

YOU DID A GREAT JOB UNPACKING AND DISCUSSING HALLOWEEN 4 AND THE HALLOWEEN SERIES. I LEARNED A LOT ABOUT THE MOVIE THAT I DIDN'T KNOW. My thoughts on Halloween 4 are: 1. THE MASK SUCKED!!!!!!!!!! 2. I liked the "Curse of Thorn" plot. AT LEAST there was a point/reason to Michael's killing as opposed to it being yet another movie that he is chasing yet another family member just because. 3. Did I mention THE MASK SUCKED??????????

I put Halloween 4 way up there! I must admit, when I was a kid the mask actually terrified me. As an adult I prefer the original but hey, growing up this mask did its job XD

It's the mask, in combination with the shoulder pads that Wilbur wears. The movie itself is great. If Michael Myers actually looked liked the Michael in 1 and 2 ( I know they're different actors), the movie would have been epic.

Halloween 4 is a lot of fun. Maybe the second best in the series behind the original (though the drop off from the original to the rest is pretty steep.) I creatively respect the Thorn storyline because you eventually had to do SOMETHING to try to explain what Michael Myers was and why you could never kill him.
@JimTheMovieGeek4 жыл бұрын
I agree, the difficulty this franchise always faced is that the fans were so rabid, wanting more sequels, but the problem was the character of Michael doesn't give you anything to work with for sequels, hes a one off enygma. If Thorn was actually planned out and not written as they went along it could have gone somewhere. I agree I respect the effort because even the hardest of Halloween purists would be asking questions about Michael eventually!

2:34 Michael's face in the first Halloween looks like the Shatner in his prime. Halloween II 6:28? More like the bloated Shatner of today.
@glennwelsh97844 жыл бұрын
That's because they used the exact same mask they used in the first movie to film Halloween II. Between the use it had already seen, then sitting in a closet for a couple years, and then being worn by Halloween II stuntman Dick Warlock - whose head was a more rounded shape (pun intended) - the mask looks quite different despite it being the exact same mask and the movie taking place on the exact same night as the original.

The only thing that ever pisses me off about 4 is when the guard says "His Dr of all people, shot him SIX times, then set him on fire", forgetting that in H2 he got shot multiple times again before the fire. It would bring the total up to about 14 times. It's like they just watched the ending of both films and forgot what happened in the rest of them.

This was the first Halloween movie that I saw in the theater. For that reason, it will always have a special place in my heart. I was 11 at the time and already a huge horror fan. We all know it didn't have a big budget. But I still can't imagine any scenario whatsoever, where someone was "too tired" to realize the pink mask with blonde hair didn't belong in the scene. 😂

What should have happened is they should have waited longer for part 5. It’s just like cooking a dish not long enough. Best thanksgiving dinner ever, but one undercooked item gives everybody the nasties.
