Amazing structures. They need to start doing this more in the housing industry in California to withstand all the fires. Go with mineral wool/ rockwool insulation and either steel or fiber cement siding/cladding and metal roofing. All of these materials withstand fires much better than wood structures. Interesting Name of the engineer. I had a friend Reine Kilstra. His father moved from Holland after WWII.

Ispan is a garbage construction method it takes forever to build a floor and it is a nightmare for all the trades that go in after the floor is ready. Just trash

Lol and all these pictures are from the job I work at. It's a disaster here mostly cause of ispan. The job management company said it would never take another ispan job

I would like to hear the specific issues. I've worked with many construction systems. I've seen them all trashed. Priper project management is key. The sub leads given the correct information will avoid damage and mitigate issues . We all know SPF #2 or better currently is less quality of a #3 or even econo of the 80ies.

Would be a good product to pair with ICF construction ,website said closed indefinitely .too bad !Covid killed allot of good green industry building systems just when we are about to see the largest boom in construction in North American history ! Millions of migrants are in need of housing(multi unit not single dwellings)steel and concrete and ICF are the future not wood!
