The system is weird they were still in foster care with their aunt so frequent visits were a common thing but once adopted the state stops checking in on you some states grant adopted children a "guardian" but those rarely check in on the kid once adopted you're no longer a ward of the state your custody belongs to your adoptive parents who now have free reign it's horrifying

I am a poor / low-income / working-class and developmentally disabled and (now) mentally ill adult. I become aware of a lot of child and animal abuse because the same abusers target me too. I can never get authorities to take my abuse seriously, so they definitely don't listen to me about others being abused. Those who are the most vulnerable to abuse are the least likely to be listened to. Developmentally disabled / mentally ill adults are the most able to communicate out of the three (adults, children, animals). If people with power would listen to us, we could really help.

@@BeardFaceSuper no David that's not what I'm saying. I think they are too gung ho in taking children away for minor issues instead of supporting the parents to create a better home environment for the entire family. But when they place children in their care for adoption they are responsible to ensure that the placement is suitable. When those kids show up at school all bruised up they should do a welfare check. Those neighbors should also hang their head in shame for not wanting to be involved when it was clear that the kids were terrorised. I was surprised at the authorities ignoring the elderly gentleman who called for help. But I'm more than aware at the government's infringement on parental rights. Where I am they disclosed that over 150 children died while in government care In a few years. From April to November of 2020, 24 children died while in government custody. The deaths of children increase tenfold when the government comes to "save" them from their parents. And no one from the government is ever held accountable. I can't help but think that it has become a legal form of human trafficking myself. The more children they nab, the more money cps gets. Many of the adopters(not all) tend to be wealthy and/or business owners who in turn recieve major tax breaks for their "caring" for those kids in need. Some people in the system are genuinely good but the money behind it all has led to said system being overtaken by corruption.

@@brianallison1913 Let’s not forget that there are many adopters (not all) who are not wealthy, and they adopt simply to abuse the system to get payment from the government. I bet the kids aunt who was about to adopt them also feels guilty for allowing their mother, who the children had been taken away from, to babysit them while she worked an extra shift at her job feels guilty also. If she had just not worked that extra shift she would have been allowed to adopt them and they never would have been under the custody and control of those evil Hart women. CPS is the craziest organization. They take children from their own mother because she has a drug problem (understandable) but instead of working with the mother to get off drugs and regain custody of her children they’d rather give the children to purely evil women such as Jennifer and Sara Hart. I know that they obviously didn’t realize that they were so evil when they first allowed them to adopt the children but there were enough instances of the children telling their teachers they had been abused that if CPS was really concerned about them the Harts wouldn’t have been allowed to just remove them from school and case closed. Pattern suggest that once teachers start inquiring about bruises on kids their abusive parents just take them out of school. That should not be the end of it. Too often CPS removes children from a loving parent with a drug problem. Even if they are placing the kids with someone who isn’t abusive, the biological mother should be allowed to show the courts by actions and attempts to get clean that she is fit to have her own kids before something so extreme as to place them with someone they don’t even know and couldn’t possibly love them as much as their own mom. If the mom is just a lost cause and is abusive herself or has proven that all she wants to do is get high and that her love of getting high is more than her love of her own children then and only then should the idea of placing them with someone else be considered. It’s time for a complete overhaul of CPS.

Hopefully more funds can be allotted for more in depth checks on kids. More accountability of the adults keeping them.

This case is a prime example why as an adoptee, whenever I see adopters flaunting the fact that theyve adopted, especially multiple kids, I get a bad feeling about it. You should NOT be putting an adopted child's life and story on the internet or using them as a political statement. Society needs to recognize better between good and bad and critically think more. Adopters wanting educate about adoption have NO NEED OR RIGHT to use their children as examples, they can simply give information while respecting the child's history and privacy. Once you start seeing people posting about how hard their kids lives were before, how good of parents they are, ect, in blogs, vlogs, ect, this needs to become a red flag! Many adoptees already see it as one but the general public sees it as heartwarming. If we stop rewarding narcissistic behavior from.adopters hopefully less narcissists will adopt

As the narrator said.... WHY! Is it that no one gets involved when there is enough evidence to.... My job is working with children.... We are drilled that if we suspect any abuse, we are to report it!! If we don't and something tragic has happened... We are held accountable. But it's true in all of these circumstances: spouse, children abuse... Kids returning to schools to massacre. The saddest part for most of these cases (which could have been rescued) is that no one (in position) thinks it's "bad enough" until it is BAD ENOUGH! It truly breaks my 💜 when I see these stories. @@royaltyblessed2454 I know. I’m a therapist who wanted to be a social worker but couldn’t handle looking at photos and sadly videos. In the state I am in they make you watch videos of babies and kids being tortured and abused because they is your typical day at work. Both hearing, seeing first hand, and seeing proof/security cam/sickos who send photos and videos of child abuse to each other or saving the videos. Every system is flawed. It doesn’t mean that every time it happens you aren’t still shocked that certain cases fell through the cracks. The issues with funding, underemployment, underpaying, under training, and a lack of people who want to do certain jobs that are essential in this field. I don’t know how social workers can handle it.

airtightindustries when someone calls 911, here in America, the first question you DO NOT get (98% of the time) is, “police, fire, or ambulance?”. It’s instead “what’s going on there”, then your name, number, address, BEFORE they even ask what HELP you might need. Even after you tell them all your personal info & the emergency, depending on how THEY rate the emergency, only one police officer will be dispatched to the address & even that’s not guaranteed. There’s numerous law suits against 911 operators all the time here in America.

Knowing this now and watching the way he was hugging the musician on stage , it's so obvious that he was terrified and just wanted to be loved. He felt that man's kindness and sensed that he had a good heart. It's like he felt safe in that moment. I wish DHS would learn to do their job correctly and stop leaving children in bad situations and also stop wrongfully taking them from good homes.

Not as a officer anyway requires more responsibly. Ijs the horror of failing victims. To me thats the real horror. Killers know how to kill right under peoples noses. And its easy to have a opinion. But good people fail these victims too. Someone would have known something. They kinda look like witches in makeup a little. But no not to make light. Its like the police dont really wanna protect and serve. They become cops for the brotherhood and they can be seen as heroes. Depending on the scenario. Of course theres gonna be good cops and bad cops. The good cops look the other way when they know corruption and worse is going on and understandably so. Same thing. Child protective services. The community knows these children are in distress. The plausibility is dangerous. Ion know

Or just hats and make impossible demands to mothers who just have a drug problem while letting others beat torture and rape children. A drug problem can be easily monitored. Do drug tests and come see the home. But some get completely f***ed while others can do whatever they want. CPS also is renown for selling children to the black market sex trafficking rings. It won't be doing in Google but it's true! I meant harass up there*

I was in a physically abusive marriage once my Army husband got back from Iraq in 04. Is was basically always drunk. One night he took my cellphone’s chip out which bricked it. No house phone. It was probably the worst night physically then he trapped me in our closet and held me there for hours till he passed out. I still couldn’t get out because he was against the door. It was in a very crowded apartment complex. Upstairs, next door left and right had shared walls and nobody called the police. Not a one. Screaming, “please stop you’re hurting me” at top volume. Even after I left a year later he stalked me out to a bar I went to to meet friends and approached us and held me at knife point in front of 50+ people and nobody called the police, nope not even the bar. Even after I asked them to. I had to go outside and call. I found out he cut the break lines on my car the next day, the hard way. Call. If you’re not sure if it’s what you think it is, call. Even if you’re wrong and it’s only an argument, call. Document what you hear, time, place facts, then call. If it’s kids, call. It’s everyone’s business. I still have pain in the rib he broke in 04’.

@@emily.toombs unfortunately your story isn't an anomaly, especially among the black population. The whole dont be a snitch group that was promoted by drug dealers and rappers in the 90's into 2000's probably had something to do with it. Also the unfortunate amount of bad experiences blacks have had with law enforcement is also a factor. Even me as a white person who has been through the system when I was younger has had sketchy interactions when calling the police to report something. First thing they do is ask for your personal info so they can run your name to see if you have warrants. I'm clean now and it still gave me a bad feeling. I'm pro police but I feel the system needs a major overhaul. Idk what state you live in but if it's a state you can own a gun I would consider arming yourself. When I was finally able to legally own a gun that was first thing I did and it's a good feeling to know I can protect myself.

@@lounavarro2604 yeah, I know the feeling of bad experiences with law enforcement. I have had a few questionably experiences mainly with needing help but the husband had a military ID so nothing to see here. Took me three times to get a restraining order which doesn’t do much but again, military ID vs me. The break lines being cut was the one that did it. My former classmate was beaten to death by Fullerton PD which remains the worst police beating in American history caught on camera. I have a healthy fear of a militaristic police department. I also did buy a gun but sadly the first time I took it to the range it jammed and they had to call a bomb squad to disarm it. I returned it to the gun shop and the MP’s told me I was lucky to still have a hand. I don’t know a lot about forearms as that was my one and only gun so I don’t know how true that was but I believe them so I never replaced it. I got a very large dog.
