There is a saying, don’t bite the hand that feeds you. So how far will a person go in pursuit of possession? What could possibly drive a playboy model to commit the ultimate act of betrayal on a generous man who was providing for her every need?

Such a strange story. He was on dating sites, had explicit photos on his phone, met up with women… and his partner was ok with it all? Also, if he was in the early stages of alzheimers, how is he still a practising psychiatrist? I have so many questions…

Yeah, I was wondering why no one really mentioned this stuff in the comments. And he only helped women? Single ones primarily? I’m not saying he was a bad person or deserved any of this in the slightest, but no one is even addressing the weirdness of all of that.

Dr. Burchard was my psychiatrist when I attended the Clint Eastwood Youth Program ( its part of Community Hospital Of the Monterey Peninsula ) in Monterey CA. I was a teen 15 years old when I first met him. I was struggling with drug addiction and mental health issues..I saw him once a week. Every time I left his office/room I was happy. I felt the care he gave to me and all his patients. He really helped with my mental health. He listened and actually did everything he could to help. After every appointment he would do a magic trick. He then would show me how the trick was done and give me the materials or whatever he used to do the trick . So I can do the magic trick myself and make others have a nice moment like he did with me. He wasn't just my Dr. He was my friend..REST IN PEACE DR.BURCHARD. We miss you

I don't think the media made him out to be a sugar daddy. That's a conclusion most of hearing the story came to. It's very unusual for a man to give a young, buxom blond money just to help her out. Usually a man will give such a woman money for sexual favors. I'm not saying this guy was one of those people, but it's only natural people would come to this conclusion.

Thank you for respecting Dr. Burchard. He became my doctor 28 years ago. He often bought my medication that I couldn't afford, if I couldn't afford my session he would have me come after hours and not charge me. As I became an adult I maintained my relationship with Dr B. He was a father figure to me, he was my hero. I will never get over losing him like this. I wouldn't have made it this far in life without him, Id probably be dead. Her comments and behaviors were learned actions Leigh. She's a sociopathic narcissist, and her lies that trapped him and his kindness prove as much. Sad to say, but todays generation has become so vain and self centered, they care only about one thing...t millennials & the generation that followed, are the worst, when it comes to, what I call, the "Me Me, or the Me First" generations in todays society. Of course not everyone within these two generations are like that, but statistically, they have proven to be the worse when it comes to self entitlement behaviors, including metal health issues like anti-social & narcissist behaviors, which also include traits of violence. One of the worse changes within these demographics has to do with an extreme increase in violence in young women between the ages of 13 & 28yrs. You'd be surprised how many teenaged murderers there are today, that are young girls, who come mostly from middle to upper class families. It's very scary, sad, but true of what I say. These behaviors and traits are often mentioned and can be easily found within medical journals and reports of today. The rise in society's violence, and acceptance of violence is greatly influencing our younger generations today, and it's possible, it will get worse before it gets any better. I certainly hope not though!! But, as always, that's just my opinion! :(((

I'm going to come from a different angle just because. Yes, the Dr was a victim in this case and was cruelly killed but WHY would anyone give a stranger that much money for that long??? You can't save everyone on the planet. How is it he had dementia but he could board flights and travel by himself? Just because someone is highly thought of so highly thought of by peers and clients does not mean ppl can't live double lives or cover up certain details of what they're doing. Why did he have explicit photos of Kelsey mom on his phone? I just think there very well could be more to this story. I guess I'm more interested in the doctor's psychology then the gold diggers.

10:50 a little bit sketchy that he wouldn't let Judy come, nor listen to her at all, as if it was a necessity to see Kelsey in person to "ensure" anything. If you plan to inevitably cut it off, why does it matter if she's telling the truth or not? It sucks that he was murdered, but a lot of this doesn't add up in terms of sense and why he's so set on meeting her in person--Specifically without Judy.

What this actually sounds like: This man was an experienced sugar daddy. Why else would he keep/receive such photos of the women he was helping get by? His magic tricks and antics about helping them were probably a way to explain to his wife why sooo much money slips out of their accounts. He was picking up disadvantaged women at his practice, women he knew for a fact were struggling financially. Que Kelsey. Sounds like Kelsey was a favorite so he started shelling out more than usual and his wife found out so he made it seem like he didn’t know what was going on and she was the problem. He funded her life and knew it. He didn’t go to see if she was sick, he went out there for a “visit”. If it were about the kids he would’ve stopped when she lost one (funny how he didn’t investigate that in person) and it’s pretty ironic her other kid wasn’t even home when he went out there. Kelsey probably didn’t care her mom was on his roster, she just needed his money and stuff went left. Still a shame what happened, though

I actually have met ONE man like this. He was actually a sexual (IMO) and just wanted friends. Everyone he befriended he ended up supporting including me when I was in my early 20s. He was in his forties at the time and kindly gave me a job, paid for my rent and all types of shopping that he came along with me to do just to have company and he refused to let me ever get the bill. We went to sports games, concerts you name it and We never even kissed! It just wasn't like that. He had alot of money and his own business that he spent most of his life getting off the ground so he didn't have much social time when younger and was still a work-a-holic. He didn't drink or smoke or anything. Completely straight edge. Unfortunately, alot of women took advantage of his kindness and I feel that during that time I really was his only true friend and tried to get him to cut off the other people (It was not just women he was supporting) but he just had a heart of gold and couldn't. We ended up falling apart when I moved away but even now he's a great man. I moved back years later with my husband and kids and he immediately offered my husband a job and was great to my husband as well. He is the only person I have ever met that was this generous that really only wanted friendship in return and had good morals. No funny business. I have never come across another person like him and I doubt I ever will. So it does happen, however it is rare. To be honest, I would think my friend was also a sugar daddy looking for sex in return had I not spent years with him and him alone daily. Trust me, he wasn't looking for that from me or anyone else. Just a kind gentleman that believed in sharing what he had with those he cared about.

I don't buy it either, he scrolled the internet for single mothers with children to "help" them. they try so hard to make it sound sweet but the whole situation is not right. if he was such a good guy he should have stayed with his wife who was begging him to stay home instead of going to Vegas to meet a young mother. it is possible he was a p3do or he could have been a nice guy, it is possible the young woman was a gold digger or a struggling mother. You just don't know.

I genuinely don’t understand how a woman could put herself in a position where she is depending solely on another person or in this case, a man. Get a job and work for what you want, that way if something happens between you and other person, your life doesn’t change much. You’re still able to live the life you want. It’s mind blowing to me. NEVER depend on another person! Divorces, cheating spouses, a significant other dies etc. all situations where if you’re not proving for yourself, you’re going to be on struggle street. Be smart! ❤

You're not struggling to make ends meet if you live a life that way. She makes single moms look bad. No way. She's just self centered and uses the kids for financial and emotional manipulation when it suited her. And he clearly was unfaithful to his wife. A good man doesn't have dirty pictures of other women on hs phone. Doesn't mean I think he deserves it, but... Truly... That's inappropriate for a married man.

This is an interesting comment. I noticed how you're distracting from the fact that Kelsey was a murderer by bringing up other more relatable aspects of her life, up until you brought up a totally nonexistent point to justify the murder. At first I thought it was classic psychological distancing and somewhat relating to the murderer until you half-ass victim blamed. I'm left trying to figure out which is worse. Either way you certainly identify more with the murderer than the victim here and you sound like a terrible human being. That's basically average for y'all these days tho.

A message to the producers of the video content on this channel. I suggest you keep your own personal beliefs on what people's intentions were out of the content of your videos. The way you choose to frame the Dr. as a helpless old man who was only making financial errors due to health reasons and only had a pure heart only makes me feel like entire storylines may be completely inaccurate due to bias contamination. You have a good person doing the voice which is one of the key elements to being a great crime documentary in my opinion! The other element is of course the content. Keep up the good work, I only wanted to offer my criticism as a constructive way to help. Some may say that I was always one to help up and coming crime show KZbin channel dudes because of my good heart. People often remark how I took up video editing as a "hobby" so that I could further assist young content providers with costly editing fees. It's sad that when I flew to Romania to do some free video editing for a new young girl who was just starting her crime vlog channel up that I was stuffed into a meat grinder and made into Romanian style sausages! Ughhh should have seen it coming guys!!!! R.I.P me
