But once players mastered her, Jett became unstoppable.
And when Riot finally nerfed Jett, somebody else took her crown.
But, now she’s back and ready to retake her rightful spot at the top of the VALORANT world.

Indeed~ I main her now after switching literally from controller and sentinel, and let me tell you. She gives you the boost of confidence you need to take fights, her dash can be used in so many creative ways not just getting out of fights and She can clutch rounds with her knives if played well

The best nerf was actually the dash. It brought Jett to be played exactly how she was supposed to be. However, all the previous nerfs are hurting her. They need to roll back some of the nerfs to keep the Entry/Aggressive Jett while preventing Jett OP meta ever happening again. Even so, she's not bad right now. I don't have to compete with instalock jetts anymore.

Her dash nerf was a buff in some situations because if you activate the skill, your next kill is going to count towards refresh when before you could kill dash, away and still need two more kills to refresh

@@PPSzB yeah but thats reliant on consistently getting those two picks to refresh her dash. you cant use her to hold aggressive angles on defense anymore unless you know for certain that the enemies are gonna push you, which makes her reliant on info gathering agents in those situations. she used to be able to do it all, which was admittedly broken, but waiting two years to change it after an entire meta developed around jett without giving her any buffs to balance it out is kinda wild tbh. like gimme three smokes again at least

As a Jett main, i can say that Jett is still the best agent in the game when comes to oping and runing away to safety, even after so much nerfes i am still playin' her because she's still flexible and the best when it comes to suprising enemies with unexpected and fast movemants, it's not only exciting to watch someone play her it's also exciting to play her because it will make game more fun for the player if you have a good game sense, she'll always be the "queen of Valorant" dominating every competitive game.

Jett being OP was way more manageable than chamber being OP. This is because, at the very least, you needed to master her kit and be good at combining her abilities for you to be unstoppable. With chamber on the other hand, it completely removed the game’s skill gap. Literally anyone can shoot and hit “E” to TP away to safety. Any beginner with decent aim and no game sense can get to higher elo with him. It removed the joy of grinding and mastering gameplay. Just my two cents.

Completely agree jett seems easy at first glance but her ability to carry is about mastering her. Case in point when valorant launch she was Considered one of the worst agents as stated in the vid but after the game found its meta people realized her potential sadly chamber has come in and made the game a pain some times. I still find valorant just as fun if not more so but I won't argue that a decent chamber can make any match a slog

I just checked the pickrate for the current Champions and Chamber's pickrate did indeed fall a bit. I assume that nerf's full effects on the pickrate would only show itself after Champions seeing that the teams are likely still testing Chamber to see the effects of the nerfs on his overall performance. And it's also likely that Riot will nerf Chamber even more after seeing the Champions results, cause at the moment he has the highest pickrate so I wouldn't worry as much. If they managed to nerf Jett without fully removing her viability(it even served as a minor buff) then I doubt they won't be capable of doing the same thing to Chamber.

The chamber nerfs did basically nothing, not much is going to change with his pickrate. The only nerf that was good was the tp radius and cd time. his op is still extremely strong and the speed you can pull out his headhunter after missing an op shot is ridiculous

I think riots big mistake was replacing Jett with Chamber, Chamber could have easily filled a role as an awper with the sheer power of his ult alone I feel like, or better yet just played as an econ control kinda guy with his deagles. Really he just needs a rework or something at this point cause his tp is way to broken, or maybe they should just reduce the range of his tp idk

I feel his TP is less of a problem compared to: 1. The activation speed of both his ult and his deagle 2. The shooting speed of both his ult and his deagle. That's the real problem. You can have of sheriff and you will get destroyed by Chamber since his deagle doesn't have dmg fall off and can spam with it. He can also spam his OP so it's the best OP in the game. Oh right, his ult is pretty much Valorant BETA Op. So what's the point of nerfing the OP or the deagle? Now, only a single character has that benefit. How is that fair? It's more fair if the guns are available for everyone than exclusive to a single agent.

Chamber being blamed for a drop in viewership when in reality its because 1. APAC vs CIS was the finals (CIS still loves CS more than Valo) (APAC it was being streamed at around 12 - 4am in midnight ofc not all can watch) 2. IT WAS A QUALIFIER 3. I think the reason that Chamber tp is superior to Jett dash is with Chamber tp you can get a kill on 1 angle, tp to another angle, get a 2nd kill. While with Jett dash you just get 1 kill and immediately dash to safety. So you could create more impact with a good tp.

As time went on, teams got better. People just figured out that agents like Neon and Raze are insanely good at executing plays and entries. Oh, and Chamber is just broken at what he does. It started to dwindle at such a fast rate and she was just simply there, an agent that probably we will never see in pro play again. (Well she is a great pick in Icebox and Breeze thats for sure). But this is the healthiest state of Valorant so far, I feel like everyone is pretty good at what they do. Chamber is broken but it is not exactly game breaking rn because of the nerf on his Rendevouz and trips.

I genuinely believe that the only thing really broken with Chamber is his ult. OP + ez getaway has always been and is still a thing with Jett. But OP is wonky and can be setup to counter against it. His deagle is a good eco aspect, similar to Jett knives - I believe that this is how they intended it to be. Giving Chamber 2 weapons effectively nullified that aspect, he has too much freedom economically, ult 1 round, op for the next 5 rounds, even if you were able to punish him 1 round. The 1-hit marshall is broken, pick off once, and you can potentially get a pick off and catch enemies off guard 1-2 seconds later. With OP you can hope to trade by 2 of you rushing, you'll just get annihilated with Chamber's ult. Finally, it serves an economic function as well. A reasonable way they can balance chamber is remove the ult entirely. They can substitute it with an activated mode that allows for instant activation on swap of all weapons, and a faster scope / ADS time for snipers, and also creating a slow field upon killing an enemy. If that's too weak they can add something like shortening TP times and making TP items invulnerable while in the same mode.

I think most League of Legends fan can relate. Jett is literally the Irelia of League. (a prominent face in League as well) They both shares too many similarities in terms of their very high handling difficulty + nerf patches. Just like Irelia of league --> damage, movespeed, skill range all got nerfed until it's no longer a pro-play menace but can still pub-stomp.

I ranked up from G1 to P3/D1 since I stopped playing Jett, so I feel like I would play like G1 in my plat/diamond lobbies. Maybe I can instalock her on my alt and grind to the rank I am on my main while only playing Jett. If I reached my main rank, I unlock the ability to play her on my main again.
