One of the greatest of all time. IMO Kuroky, Puppey, s4, xiao8, and Universe are the most consistent and influential of all the pro players. Nothing against Miracle or GH of course, they're amazing players, but they haven't been in the scene for as long as someone like Kuroky. It's that commitment to the game for over a decade that really sets Kuroky apart from a lot of the young guns. I'm sure he has an obscene amount of information stored in his head, so that even if Icefrog completely changes the game with the next patch, Kuroky will know what to do, while it might take longer for the younger pros to adapt to changes in the game. It's that wide knowledge base, along with the versatility to play core and support, which have made Kuroky a relevant name in the DotA 2 professional scene for as long as the scene has existed.

vvav dont forget loda and burning. Loda story of perseverance was like Kuroky but earlier. He was considered a legend in dota 1 b4 kuroky, facing downfall of career b4 kuroky and redeemed himself and his career in Ti3 and the whole session. Alliance was the first team to really consistently destroy Chinese team also. After 2009 western dota was dominated by Chinese farmers, the likes of Zsmj “6 min one item”. Keep in mind at that time farming in dota 1 was much more difficult and slower than today. Kuroky was totally destroyed mid by Mushi and admited how outplayed he was and the West has no chance. Loda also made big life commitment, went to China, learn, practice, etc... and as a result his Alliance in Ti3 era was dominating and well deserved. The first team to be able to get respected from Chinese team. Navi was not as dominant when competing against Chinese back then. Keep in mind in Ti1 there were little interest in dota 2 from chinese and they were still spend more time in dota 1 than dota 2

it seems to me that in general the skill level is very high at TI but that isn't what makes or brakes a winner because the top players are pretty much the same. confidence and team chemistry and a fair amount of luck is needed and i say luck because at this high skill level it's the little things and timings can make a huge difference in the outcome of a game. look at OG this year, they were probably ranked around the bottom from all the top teams and yet they managed to take the trophy when nobody really thought they had a chance. sometimes teams are just in the zone and if players can detach themselves from the pressure then things have a tendency to go their way. easier said than done but that's just my humble opinion
