Hi! Dimash performs this incredible composition at each of his concerts, changing and adding new variations. It is never monotonous. His live performance is breathtaking, and delight is mixed with shock! Besides, this is a composition by Dimash himself. And he is an absolute genius, devoted to music like no other! Thank you so much for your deep understanding and appreciation of its importance in the world of modern music!

Thank you. This is a masterpiece on many many levels. Dimash worked on it for 3 yrs and put a lot of money and time into it. It is his statement for peace. He performed it for the council on religion and the Pope gave him a medal for his work towards peace. This means so much to him and he pours his heart and soul into it with every performance. Dimash's vocals are stunning. I agree with your observations about his pronunciations. But he continues to improve and his audience and all of the Dears know this and they know the lyrics and know his heart about this piece. it is incredible.

An outstanding experience! A standing ovation of 12000 people followd his last frozen note fading in the air...The 3 hour concert passed in the blink of an eye, leaving me totally flabbergasted but yet filled whith an incredible warm energie, that energie who went back and forth from Di to his audience during the whole concert. When I left the stadion I said to myself...this will not be the last concert I will ever see! Ever since I watched this Almaty version, I vowed I need to see it live. I went to Budapest, with only one hope to watched this song sung live. This was the song that I cried the longest. I mean I cried “hysterically”, uncontrollably. Now, he sing it better than this performance. His low notes are richer, and in every song there is something different that he does so you will realized that it is different. Some nuances, but so delicately beautiful. I can’t even described it. No words actually. It’s exquisite! That feelings will linger and it did made me so weak afterwards. I was right next to dimash father and boy oh boy, i presume he watch this done many times but he still cried too. He cried with us. This song is a masterpiece. And dimash is just a vocal god.

When I go to Opera I don't expect line to line understanding of lyrics 3. Same with rock opera. JC Superstar is my IT, by I still don't know all the words, I know the plot 4. Let's say he sings in seven languages during the concert, how many languages do we know? Do we care? He is a multicultural phenomenon, creator of music, by means unavailable to others, spiritual experience for those whose soul is not deaf. Less then 18% of the world speaks English so this makes no sense. That is why there are subs for English and other languages. I understand every word but if I didn’t it would not matter. Music is universal language. I don’t understand a lot of American artists, that’s why it is well known people sing the wrong lyrics I mean did anyone understand bob dylan lol but yet he was very famous. I can maybe understand a regular person having this mindset but a professional in music should know accents don’t matter in music

I have a question for the knowledgeable Dears. Reactions to this performance all comment on how incredible it is that he maintains such vocal perfection in a live performance, while moving so strenuously and percussively -- especially at the end. I can't help noticing, though, that his singing seems to perfectly match that in the videos behind him. Also, I can't hear any differences from track in the music video. the This suggests to me that he might be lip-syncing to a recorded track. It would be an understandable choice, considering the incredible physical demands of what he does onstage, and it is a stunning virtuoso performance either way. Still, I am curious as to whether it is really live. When I'm bragging up Dimash to my musician son, I want to get it right. ;-)

You are completely right! This performance was entirely lip-synced. What we hear is completely identical to the studio version - from each note to each little accent or even mispronunciation. He can't kill his voice by singing this live close to the end of a 3-4 h concert. However, Dimash does it differently from concert to concert. For example, most of the time, he sings the first parts live while the demanding parts starting with the arabic singing are playback. I think it was only in Yerevan where he sang (a simplified version of) the whole song live. Apart from checking the identity of the voice tracks, you can usually tell when Dimash lip-syncs: he moves much more around during playback performance, up to the crazy jumping things he did in this video (which to me was overacting), and the mic does not stay close to this mouth but is swirled around like a toy. Sadly, lots of Dears sreact allergically to the claim that Dimash lip-syncs certain songs. Only a minority admits that Dimash does it not just on occasion but actually rather frequently.

It would have been amazing had the audience screamed "we are choosing life" or "peace" instead of yelling Dimash (glad you ended it before that happened).
