I feel so bad for him.. like I just found out about him about 15 minutes ago and his story is heartbreaking. The fact that the other boxer did nothing but hit him in the back of the head and the ref did nothing but take of Prichards points makes me so UPSET. The ref deserves nothing and neither does the other boxer. Prichard didn't deserve any of this. He knew the guy was throwing illegal hits and still continued to play fair. He deserves another chance.. As for the ref and other boxer, they deserve to be locked up for life.

To be fair, I was surprised that it wasn’t called off immediately. Just after that basic two hit combo that got him downed right at the start of a new round as well. Clearly his reactions were significantly slow, being that wobbly too.. I just wouldn’t of thought he was in a good state to continue. It was over. But anyway, I wouldn’t blame anyone despite this. This guy had hundreds of fights, clearly just had one too many hits to the head. Some people can tolerate less than others, although that amount of trauma will always have an effect in later life (if not immediate). It’s a sad story, but there’s never just one reason for these type of things. I do agree that it could of been called earlier.. but even doing so, this would of still happened. If not in his next match, then the one after that. You know

I know what’s it like to be trapped in your body and unable to communicate. I had stroke(s) at 22 yrs old and I needed to tell someone I am in trouble but unable to speak. In my head I try to ask people to help me but my words wouldn’t come out of my mouth. This went on for months until i feel into a coma. I woke up and found out I was paralyzed from the waist down. It’s been a hard 15yrs and I have too fight on. This is so tragic. I hope Prichard continues to heal and try to get back on his own 2 feet without help.

My boxing coach always told us. "It's about how far you can go without taking a beating". With 190+ fights while as a amateur. That's a lot of blows to the head. He should have been pro around his 50 fight or earlier.

Zaan Tv Really???? C’mon, boxing is a sport and it has rules and regulations. You don’t expect to get brain damage anymore than an F1 driver expects to crash and burn ... Same could be said for people travelling by plane , it’s rare but sometimes they crash ( I suppose they should expect that too) after all humans don’t fly ! I suspect you are being facetious and the inner troll is getting the better of you. I understand.

Lost a lot of control of my nervous system due to a weight lifting injury when I was 19 I was on the road to being a champion boxer/mmA myself til I hurt my spine and had to stop training and drop out of college I began aging at an alarming rate and loosing my ability to control my movement consciously. This story hits very close to home I thought I had it bad. I’m slowly regaining my ability to walk and speak properly so I guess there is hope for me. He was a few fights away from being champ. Goes to show always be grateful for what u have there’s always someone out there dealing with worse. And u can loose it in an instant. After that all u have are memories. And even those too can be lost. God bless this man and you all who took time to read my comment. Thank you.

READ THIS ALL. Hey, there is a real story. A Indian (Punjabi) man who played the sport hockey in India. He was very in love with hockey. Started off in a poor village and when someone saw his talent from out of town, he took him to a better team. He made it too the champion ship and at his state champion ship game, he broke his legs because the opponent purposely hid his legs with the hockey stick. After the hospital check up, his parents took him to America because people said that America have better doctors. They were doing some thing to make his leg better. Nothing worked and so they went back to India. He was talking and saying that why would god do this to him. Then he got mad and tried to get up, and at the end, he got up. This is not BS. A real story. And hope you get inspiration if you read this.
