When Snake came to Fortnite I wanted to get into MGS. There were so many videos explaining MGS but I chose your one and have been obsessed ever since. Bought the Master Collection, but 120+ hours in MGSV, and this video is releasing perfectly in time as I enter the second half of MGS2.

@@JR-994 Dude, I want a game about Snake and Payne hanging out for a bit in their retirement years. Imagine the stories they could go back and forth with as they get into all kinda of details about whatever awesome moment. Maybe even have Chris Redfield pop in for a quick visit and make a wise crack sort of joke about 'the old timers'. But ya know, Redfield is pretty cool so there's no real conviction behind the words as it was just more of a token bit of ribbing. I feel like this is merely scratching the surface as it's an idea brimming with potential! Maybe Ryu Hayabusa flips his way around the fellas, because despite his lack of development over the years as a character it's easily overlooked as those in the know understand his character is the weapon he wields which commonly is that sword of his. Fucker has taken more lives than the plague, and probably sliced countless species into total extinction. I could go on because for some reason I'm strangely excited by the idea lol. But yeah, Alaska would be a great spot! I'd just like some shenanigans to play out a bit before that quite, white goodnight!

The one thing that's weird about metal Gear solid 2 is that we know that Jack's backstory is that he was a badass child soldier but when we actually play as him, he is not anywhere close to that

I would assume his memory being wiped attributed to his more docile nature, leading him to MGS2 Jack. But honestly? The Digital Comic version of Jack might be what you're looking for - at the cost of him becoming kind of a jerk due to his PTSD-shackled subconscious.

A shame the original concept for Rising never saw the light of day. Hideki Kamiya, the monster energy drink in the shape of a human being, founded a capcom adjacent company that are technically proficient at making slick, balls to the wall (the walls are butts in platinum's case) action titles for other publishers. However, I dont think metal gear and grindhouse are flavors of ice cream the compliment each other very well. Hideo's creation is more akin to john carpenters early work. Hideki and Suda 51 and to an extent Yoko Taro are all constantly emulating the grindhouse of Robert Rodriguez. That doesnt work for metal gear. Is metal gear over the top at times? Yes. But it has its own flavor profile. Platinum games mixes chocolate ovaltine powder into freshly squeezed lemonade and serves it in a chalice. Not to mention, putting the metal in gear is something only Jamie Christofersson could do.......unless they hired Dragonforce, or Emperor, or Ulver, or Mudvayne, or Breaking Benjamin, or three doors down. I remember when i was in high school

All the comic shots are from the Digital Graphic Novel released for the PSP. Which have a slightly altered canon from the original - but most actors reprised their roles. I just used it to help spice up parts and fill the gaps where there really was no footage I could use.
