One of the best talent of bands ever put together. Blades was underrated as a song writer. With Shaw it was just great

Shaw and Blades are great songwriters. They probably just told Ted "Just play guitar" and that he did. Shaw is no slouch on guitar either but Nugent takes things to another level.

Yes, just overall a phenomenal band that truly lives up to the name “super group.” Thanks for watching!

In the movie Fletch, he posed as airplane mechanic Ted Nugent.

They came to Tulsa Oklahoma back like in 90 or 91. They played Night Ranger songs, Styx songs and of course Nugents songs as well.

Awesome. Really wish I had seen them live. I didn’t get in to rock until part way through 92 and I was a little late to the game unfortunately.

I was 12 when the first album came out and they instantly became my favorite band and still are today! I still say it to this day, I will donate a testacle If I were ever lucky enough to see these guys live one time.

I like that you all can disagree with Ted on politics BUT still acknowledge that he's a good person and entertainer.

Great interview. I wish it was longer. I only recently found out about the 3rd album that never came out which I believe featured Damon Johnson from Brother Cane. That would have been very interesting. But even he has said in interviews that there are literally no recordings out there of it. Which I believe, because somebody would have put them up on KZbin in this day and age if there was. But it sure would be interesting to hear.

There is a full interview with me and Ron that’s over an hour. Yeah I’ve heard some of the songs turned up on other records. But yeah I’d love to hear the original 3rd album with the Damn Yankees.

@@ChuckShute Thanks an. Found it. Instant subscribe. Appreciate the reply. Yeah, I just did some digging & saw an interview with either Shaw or Blades that talked about how a few of the songs ended up on a Shaw/Blades album & Nugent solo stuff as well. But nobody is talking about which ones they are. lol. Then I saw an interview with Nugent from late 2021 where he said he thinks they will eventually make another album but scheduling gets in the way. I'd LOVE for this to happen. A tour would be even better. I grew up a Night Ranger & Styx fan. Respected, Nugent, but was never a huge fan of anything but the "hits'. I've always thought his best work was with Damn Yankees. So the magic they created together would be great to have a 3rd go round of!

@@seventallguitarist yes! I loved Damn Yankees. So curious what the third record could have been. Oh well.

The guy sure took a lot of shots shitting on Ted Nugent. But funny, Ted Nugent is a legend and I've never heard this guy's name before. And, most of Ted's politics do align with mine, so none of that side business that has nothing to do with music bothers me as much as it does him.
