Marc - Viven Foe was the last Manchester City player to score for them at Main Road, on April 21, 45 days later he was dead. Couldn't belive when the news had broke that he had died. I was on my way home from sumer holliday. My friend had been watching the confederation cup but for some reason did not watch the semi between Cameron and Columbia. When he turned on TV to watch France vs Turkey he didn't know why france players were in tears he like me was shocked when he learned that foe had died. Two days later we watched the final live it was very emotional for all involved but we agreed that playing it was the right thing to do and that he cermony after the match was touching.

I never forget this tournament. I was eleven years old. I remember watching that match between Cameroon and Columbia and when i saw that Foe was lied down on the ground i was just think its nothing serious. But when i saw his face when they take him from the field i have some wierd feeling. But i was still think its something not serious. But day after that when my dad told me that he died i was so shock. I never forget that feeling. That was something what I wouldnt even think of. Final match between France and Cameroon was something special. So emocional. This two match are something i never forget in my life. Marc-Vivien Foe always stay in my heart. I never forget that shock that he died. Rest in peace.

That's why I love the France because their sadness for Mac Vivien For was very visible, they clearly struggled to play in semi final upon hearing his death especially Gregory Coupet who was so disturbed. No wonder many Africans play for France

The collapse and subsequent death of Foe on global tv -one of the saddest and most emotional moments of football history. I remember it like it was yesterday and still get emotional watching this after all these years. Even sadder to see what the family squabbles over inheritance in Cameroon is doing to his memory 20 years on... Continue to rest in power, great lion!
@rodriguegabrielbiloa27046 жыл бұрын

Why was there a Confederations Cup in 2003 ?
@tancredeadnot52767 жыл бұрын
At the time, the confederation cups were mostly here to fill the blank years without any international competitions, before and after the world cups and between continental cups. The 2003 edition was the last of its kind since it was quite useless to play it : no real challenge, no real reason to win it. They preferred changing the formula and make it an every 4 years competition, preceding the world cup, acting as a test for the host country.
