Wrestling Bios Presents - The Story of the JOB Squad
The JOB squad in the WWE were a faction made up of people who would, as Al Snow put it, fight against the evil "Push" as none of the members were going to get one. Made up of lower end and mid tier wrestlers, the J.O.B Squad in WWF gave new purpose to these superstars.
The leader of the wrestling faction was Al Snow, who had previously worked in the WWF as Avatar, Shinobi and Leif Cassidy. Snow was joined by Bob Holly, who had previously worked in the WWE as Thurman "Sparky" Plugg and Bob "Spark Plug" Holly, 2 Cold Scorpio who portrayed Flash Funk in the WWF in 1996, The Blue Meanie who debuted in the WWE as a member of the J.O.B Squad, and Duane Gill, a lifetime enhancement talent who was about to make headlines with his Gillberg character.
Together in the WWF, The Job Squad, a group of men perceived as Jobbers, would unite together to see if their fortunes would change. In this mini documentary from Wrestling Bios, we look at The Story of The JOB Squad. Topics covered include:
Jobbers and enhancement talent in wrestling
Al Snow forms the Job Squad
Bob Holly working as Thurman Sparky Plugg
2 Cold Scorpio working as Flash Funk in the WWF
The Blue Meanie debut in the WWF with the JOB Squad
Duane Gill becoming the Light Heavyweight Champion in the WWF
The Job Squad and their early success in the WWE
The Faction splitting up and the members going their separate ways
Much More!

Yep that's when the world champ wrestled on house shoes and PPV and it felt special unlike now. Fans got spoiled and now thinks the champ should wrestle every week on free T.V. but I'm old school I don't need to see Brock or any other world champ weekly.

This is a good point. Al Snow got the "Head" gimmick over remarkably well and was very entertaining in his day. Hardcore Holly was able to hang in the IC title division for a while despite not obtaining the title. I feel like Snow and Holly deserve a bit more credit here.
