I've been told by my Mum to watch this to learn all about it before I take my beloved to theatre to see the Nutcracker performed by London ballet company 😊I'm not a child I'm 56 yrs old 😂

Her name is Marie in the original story. Clara and Masha were names she was given when the ballet was first performed in Russia. It makes sense why she's more popularly known as Clara, though.
