when the queen curtsied deeply and then laughed in the presence of m. thatcher it was the only time that i ever felt she was being unkind and being ugly and acted beneath her dignity. i could be wrong as to why she did it but it seems as if it were to mock her P.M. i know the queen was a human being with faults like the rest of us, but she really was better than that

Anytime you can't pass a law regarding the Queen or her family without her approval "Royal Assent" then I think that's more powerful. Women always clash like this as long as Britain has been around I've never heard a major story about a King clashing with a PM. Thatcher was mocking the Queen with the deep curtsy so if Queen did it back she was only pointing it out.
