I went to several games this season as tickets were easy to come by. I was actually a member of "Cat Crazies", a fan club that sat in one of the end zones near the court, similar to Houstons "Red Rowdies". Fun times. Derrick Brown was my favorite player on that team. It may sound silly but he became somewhat of a fan favorite because of his reading rap lyrics like a poetry teacher would and posting them to the teams website. He picked everyone from Snow to Grandmaster Flash to Outkast. Also, those uniforms were easily the best thing they ever wore while being called the Bobcats.

Derrick Brown was by far their most impactful player at 2.3 win shares while the next being Gerald at 1.3 which is sad as he was their best player and tried his hardest nightly....just goes to show when they used a wing they had success...Brown was their only true sf all season and small ball pf at times...

The real story is that they tanked on a lockout shortened season to start a rebuild. Before the season started, M.J. said they needed to start over in order to get out of mediocrity. They went to the playoffs the season before that with Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson but knew they wouldn't ever get out of the 1st round of the playoffs. They got rid of their vets to give Kemba and Bismack as much playing time as they could get. They should have gotten the number 1 pick, which would have paired Kemba Walker with Anthony Davis. The NBA robbed Charlotte of this because they were trying to sell the N.O. Hornets and promised the buyer the number 1 pick. If Kemba and Davis were 6 years deep on the same team today, that year wouldn't be so funny, and Charlotte would probably be the number 1 team in the east right now. It was supposed to be "Trust the Process" years before the sixers. Now, many teams tank for a rebuild. Charlotte was just one of the first.

They have the worst winning percentage in NBA history, but it's hard for me to call them the worst of all time. They finished 7-59, by comparison the 92-93 Mavs who lost 71 games had the same record after 66 games. Stats may say other wise, but because they didn't have the opportunity to play the full 82, I can't call them the out right worst. They are definitely in the top 3 though.

It' MJ fault for scouting players and draftin them and alot of them don't play in the nba now except for walker. If I were in the Nba, even on the worst team, I'd still have an optimistic attitude. I'd be thankful just to be making millions to give back to friends, relatives, and the poor, getting to travel to 27 different cities while staying in 5 star hotels, and being able to play my #1 favorite sport 82 times a season, unless I got injured. Of course I don't enjoy losing, especially when putting up enough effort, but nba players on losing and winning teams are spoiled compared to us under-paid, or unemployed ordinary people.

Brace Brooks yeah but you only brought up the easy part. They had to train their whole lives all the time. Giving up a lot for basketball. They also have practices and workouts. They leave their families a ton and basketball puts a lot of fatigue and pressure on your body over time. Yeah they make a lot though but it's in no way easy less than one in a million make it because of how difficult it is
