His turn as Derrick Rose's injury replacement/backup in 2014-2015 led to one of his best years. Thibs was so good at taking older role players or past-their-prime undersized point guards and making them look too good for us to be able to afford to resign like he did with DJ Augustin, Nate Robinson and even John Lucas III. Statistically, Brooks was pretty close to his breakout year stats in his seasons with the bulls.

Nets fans were disrespectful for chanting that. Kidd gave that franchise its best run. The next season, the Nets would lose 70 games. And Kidd would evolve into a jump shooter and help the Mavs win a championship. That's kharma.

Craig M That's exactly who I had in mind. Leonard is one of my favorite players. But if he was on the Bucks, Jazz, or Magic... he would be viewed as just a good solid player. I believe the same with Ginobli. I think Pop has made him into a Hall of Fame contender. Rondo also flourished under Doc's direction. Viewed as the best defensive point guard & best play makers. After he left Boston... he is almost mediocre at best.

About 1993 I saw Scottie Pippen at a Graeter's Ice Cream. I said hello and then told him that when I was 22 years old I was actually a little better than him. He sort of smiled and rolled his eyes. I then added, "It's true. Of course when I was 22, you were 4."
