The guy literally defected because innocent civilians died because the government left them yet he goes and kills innocent civilians, Keener and his rogue agents arent the good guys that they believe they are but that doesnt mean The Division is. Hope in The Division 3 we become The Good Rogue agents those who still fight the cause the Division was supposed to do but under a new mantle, this would really open up the doors to many possible stories, Warlords of New York is finally a step up on the story side so I expect The Division 3 to incorporate all the lessons learned.

I started with the Division 2 then after about 20hrs bought and am playing through the first. The view I take form all the information is the rogues and the Division are the same thing because they have the same goals. To take back the country, where the Division is working to bring back the status quo, the Rogues see all the corruption and mistakes to bring about a new status quo threw the form of anarchy. Isn't the real question where "you" the player wants to fall? I can't wait to jump into New York to see what it has to offer. With fairly new to the franchise, getting all the lore and playing myself, Maby Keener has a point maybe things need to change but his methods are not the way to go about it.

When my buddies and I played through Warlords together literally none of us wanted to kill Theo, hearing his audio tapes and such just amplified that. By the end of the DLC while we didn't want to side with Keenar we definitely didn't want to stay with the Division anymore.

Theo's entire recruitment to SHD is questionable. Like no matter how good he is, who thought hiring a conspiracy theorist hiding in big daddy's pocket from his consequences was a good idea? There is a collectible where Theo calls his brother with his theory on that his dad was assassinated and that his heart attack was fake and that the autopsy report went missing. But his brother quietly hung up on him. Theo was smart, but just a little child with daddy issues

@@lzhiwei well looking into the recruitment a lot of it seems to be bad choices. It is as if someone intended the Division to fail by recruiting people who will fail and betray the Division to make the US government look incompetent which by now we know it is true due to the lore we gotten about the Black Tusk Client having connections to all major government, businesses, and criminal underworld. There is more to this that point the Division was intended by design to fail but that involves lore involving ANNA and how a good amount of ISAC function and access to classified information are being secretly restricted from the 1st and 2nd wave agents such as the SHD levels.

Theo was probably right about The Division inadvertently helping a shadow govt., namely the Black Tusk. We see in Div 2 base that the BTs use The Division to wipe out the enemy factions. Afterwards, they then try to come in and clean up the mess. Sadly for them, they underestimated how strong the JTF and The Division would still be after eliminating the other factions. They also weren’t seen as “saviors” by the civilian populous like they had hoped.

I still thinking about ISAC if he working with Black Tusk he didn't stand a chance with SHD and I don't know what happen next but ANNA will help us if ISAC double crossed us. One of the things that I was curious about is the story of Mark and Sarah. I dont have the full story yet, but the fact that aaron keener still helped people, while it wasn't to his benefit and he was rogue, really makes me question if aaron keener's psychological state changed while he was in New York after the first wave was left behind. This just seems so different from the aaron keener that we had to kill, that perhaps he had witnessed something that made him become a manipulator and a ruthless warlord and changed his perspective on the division and its directives.

The whole warlords of New York have me very conflicted about the Division. Its intentions are good, but behind the scenes of SHD seems very shady to me. I see other comments about how it would have been better to at least capture Theo. And I wish I could have captured him instead of killing him. He was on to something... It makes me want to go rogue, but at least still fight for the same intentions the Division is supposed to stand for... Who knows, maybe later in the game, you will have the choice to go rogue. I know where I stand? Where would you all stand?

I feel like I missed something with the DLC. Everyone just talks in riddles and I never felt like I found out what Keener and his allies were fighting against. What's so bad about the Division? If they're going to call out SHD at least give me some evidence as to why they're bad instead of telling me, "You don't know the truth." and expecting me to believe or even care about the villain. He's fighting for something, but for what? Give me an answer, game, so I can bring myself to care.

they think the Division isn't strong enough to drag society back to the top. both Keener and Kajinka were left to die in the Dark Zone, the dwindling supplies ended up causing Faye's sister to die, the Division just clings onto President Ellis' every order only to nearly be crippled when he betrays them to the Black Tusk, rogue agent Neptune blames the Division for the orders that ended up killing his fellow agent, etc. over time, the agents are simply losing faith on an organization that thrives to bring society back to what it was when pretty much no one else thinks that way.

Even in Division 1 the story isn't straightforward or clear to fellow since you have side missions and main missions and collectibles to know what's going on. But to answer your question, Keener has an agenda and everyone else are pawns who have their own agenda. Theo is a conspiracy theorist who wants to know the truth. Vivian wants revenge for her family being killed when JTF left. Asian dude wants the same thing he wants. Dravgo wants to protect his "family" or Rikers. Keener wants to topple New York and uses the Rogues to do that.

Theo likely wasn't working on the rogue network for as long as people might think, given that there seems to be numerous cells formed or in the process of forming at the time Keener put his team together; and that Keener himself had already started putting his plan together/into motion and had Dragov on-side by the time he recruited him (Recruitment echo, Dragov is by the pillars providing sniper cover in case Theo *didn't* agree to join Keener's cell)

He cared alot for his dad and wanted to find the truth so badly, and keener took advantage of his weak state of mind, and abandoned him when theo needed him in a life and death situation. Warlords of New York is the first expansion in a long while that felt like a proper expansion and not a half-ass’d DLC like Destiny does. In the end I hated Keener almost to a personal level but Theo I didn’t want to kill at all but had no choice. He was just a very paranoid guy that needed the right guidance but unfortunately ran into Keener first who manipulated him into his own personal agenda. And when he needed help he was thrown away and abandoned.

The thing that gets me about all of these Rogue agents is, while I'm able to understand them turning on the SHD for their own reasons and even to an extent taking the initial offers made to them by Keener, what made them still go along with him after Keener brought out his new Bioweapoin? Conley joined with the Cleaners, and had every reason to object to a new virus being unleashed on what remained of the population. Dragov wanted to protect his new Family of the Rikers and could have at some point drawn the line on what whether he thought going along with Keener was doing more to harm them than protect them. Kajika I could see as being thoroughly blinded by the need for revenge. And lastly with Parnell, while I could see him being taken in by Keener and the resources offered to him to investigate his father's death and the inherent failures of the Division, I'm not sure how he could have been unshaken by the fact that Keener was ready to release yet another bioweapon upon the city?

Everyday since the new Dlc am still wondering if the Division is actually trying to help or as it says in this video they all have been use for the porpuse of somebody else, somebody with more power that we really dont know of maybe Keener and his people were right about what they were saying but yet that doesnt justify the inocent lifes they are taking if they want to bring down division go ahead but dont take inocent lifes because of it, there are ways to get things done and that is not one of them, i would have perfectly join this guys if they actually didn't do the crazy things they have done. And if of course i had the option of joining to them 😂.

After watching slot of these vids ...I kinda understand why the agents went rogue. Theo, keener ( at one point) and company...hell even if Faye did too I, I would understand the reason. But keener fall off the cliff of insanity years ago. However that's the mentality I guess you need to have when it's about survival.

I am going to wait till you finish the campaign before posting anything about what this means for the grand scheme of things. Theo Parnell though was quite a help to Keeners plan though. If the rogue network works like I think it does, then rogues are even more dangerous then they were before. Also your not the only one missing collectibles. I got most of them yet missing a few that I can't seem to find even with a map people created.

They dont actually clarify this. I see TD2 as a different agent, others see it as the same agent. Sadly, it hasn't been explained. I think this has something to do with the fact that they'd like the Division 2 to be a stand alone game, and this way new players wont feel like they missed too much by not playing the first one.

Overall, I like his story. His backstory is interesting, but I do feel they made him too much of a conspiracy theorist archetype, with a lack of depth. That said, The Division really needs to work on their recruitment, because hiring a conspiracy theorist to a hidden government agency sounds REALLY stupid. Great video as always!

Theo story meant to point out the corruption in the Division before the Dollar Flu. Something was not right in the government. It almost like they was trying to get people who would have gone rough. To keep the division distracted

boi i couldnt give 2 shits abt your tragic backstory just drop a bullet king and imma head right out after... on a serious note tho, this guy was my favourite character out of all the warlord rogues. His panic and paranoia when he was running away and trying to get Judge to buy him some time hit different, considering he still tried to put up a bold facade but was obviously running out of options and time and he knew that. Keener leaving him behind after all of his loyalty and servitude. He was being pushed around and used and only realised it when he was being hunted down. Vivian, Javier, and James were all seasoned agents and were willing to charge the opposition head-on, but it was easy to see that Theo wasn't ready to die just yet. Every shot he took, it came with a fearful shriek, would've been great to have him by our side. Or if I had a choice, I'd join the rogues. That way i can use my abilities free from cooldowns and use ALL OF THEM AT ONCE. looking at you Keener.
