Started following you and watched this video first with your recommendation... what did I see? Not campers, not travels. Not sights or dramatic views. What I saw was years of laughter, compassion, and above all, love. An amazing trip you are on with each other... may you find your way through thick and thin, through high times and low, knowing you are both together for each other. Be seeing you!

What a wonderful video showcasing the evolution of your camping/rv'ing lives! Beautifully photographed and lots of fun seeing the different rigs you've enjoyed along the way. Of course, I particularly love your vids with the Runaway Range Runner...I fell in love with that little camper when you showed it several years ago. Although I bought two little campers in between, I finally gave in to my desire for a Runaway and bought one last year. I love it! I think this will be the last camper I'll own. We bought the CLAM outdoor screen room to go with it and that combination is great for us. Thanks so much for sharing your fun and adventures over the years! I look forward to seeing more in the next video! :-)

Thank you Rhondalyn for your long time support and encouragement. I often think back on Godspeed and what a delight he was to deal with. Never a care in the world (unless I had to make dinner in pouring down rain). The last item on our bucket list back then was to tour western Canada and I had to assume that extended travel such as that would produce a variety of conditions, some of which might not favor the Range Runner's capabilities. We had to find a camper that we could comfortably spend time in and cook in as well as one that had a separate living and sleeping area. Part 2 will take us down that path, so stay tuned :-) Thanks for watching and commenting.

We made a lot of mistakes along the way but ultimately learned how to travel on a budget :-) It's a shame that the RV industry as a whole is such an assortment of shoddy workmanship with little quality control. We wasted a small fortune trying to find a decent travel trailer and never did. We also think about how much we could have saved if we had just purchased the 3/4 ton truck in the first place :-)

Thank you Evelyn for the very kind words. I hope you got to watch it in HD. I uploaded it in 4K but it took 2.5 hours before KZbin trans-coded it to 1080p. It ran in horrible 360p standard resolution for that first 2.5 hours

Wow ! This is the first time someone that I subscribe to has commented on one of our videos :-) I'm working on Part 2 at the moment. I'm hoping to have it up next Sunday. We're leaving next month for an extended trip to explore New Mexico so we are getting excited to be over our winter. I'll bet you feel the same and can't wait for your snow to be gone. Do you have plans for the coming spring ?

@@LukeandAlysha We intentionally avoided the west coast in general when we were there in spring of 2017. We had a very limited budget and we figured there were more sights for the dollar further inland :-) Of all our travels, our Canada trip will always be our high point :-)

Hi good people! Very interesting video. Clearly shows how progression for many is for camping people. And how little things are tested before the part is released on the market. But look like you would rather move on than go into depression. Looking forward to Part 2.

Thank you Morten :-) Thankfully, our efforts seem to have paid off as we have found camper #11 to be perfect for us. I am working on the Part 2 of the story (hopefully up this Sunday) and also planning our next adventure starting in April :-)

This video was uploaded in 4K but it's only playing at 360p resolution so it might take a while for KZbin to upscale it properly. I hope people aren't disappointed :-( Thank you for your kind words :-)

Such cute youngins. I've had my TC since about 2007 and never had a desire to change. It's been very good to me for work and play, and once, a shelter where there was still power and heat while the house was dark and cold. You may be ready to get a simple cargo van and stick a bed and a few items in it to try that angle a while. Home built class b. Looking forward to the next video. Take care...

I'm having a hard time understanding your comment since I know you've watched many of our videos and already know that we have been truck camping for years. In fact, we are on our 5th truck camper at the moment. This video takes us from the beginnings in 2010 to 2015. The next 5 years will be covered in Part 2. The Part 2 episode will detail all 5 truck campers. We would never consider a cargo trailer or van conversion as you mention :-)
@CITAP14 жыл бұрын
@@TravelswithYoly It just seems to me you guys like to try something new every few years. Truck topper, small trailer, big trailer, small trailer, and yes, I know you've had a couple truck campers big and small. It seems variety has been frequent for you with the different RVs you've had through the years. So, a simple curiosity that could your future hold a van conversion in it? We are going through the process now of choosing something new that will allow us to get a sandwich or take a nap without having to go outside to get into the RV through the dark and rain or wind...

@TravelswithYoly4 жыл бұрын
@@CITAP1 Ok, I get it now :-) I can appreciate having the ability to move from the driving area to the living area without going outside, many advantages to that but I think we're locked into truck camping for some time. Our path through this RV maze was not born out of experimentation and curiosity but rather a simple means of finding something that would last beyond the term of the load agreement. Everything, other than the Range Runner was frankly a POS and not worth the effort to keep and maintain so we were "forced to move on". The truck campers just seem to have fewer issues and give me hope that one could last for many years. We've never imagined ourselves moving to a class b or van conversion although I started this actually when I was 22 back in 1970 when I lived in my VW factory camper for a year and a half. But now that I think of it, the years are cruising by and I'm not getting any younger. There may come a time when truck camping is too much effort for me. I doubt we'd ever be financially in a position to have both :-) Thanks for watching the video and providing your insight :-)
