I saw them last night in Nottingham and they were fantastic. Their stage presence was at a good level, they performed all their songs flawlessly and Parker interacted with the crowd. I don't know what everyone is whining about.

im a musician, and as far as playing live. stage presence is key. if youre just standing there no one is going to feel you. espically when youre on the road. you dont want people out of state to describe you as "yeah they were good but they got boring" you NEED to make sure you connect with the crowd.

Did you see the shots of the crowd? They looked pretty amped. I bet you've also never played a show that crowded with people jumping on stage and being in your face. It gives them room to run around and stage dive and stuff. I can imagine they'd wanna be by Parker anyway and Parker does just fine. I'd stand off to the side too if I played guitar for them, and that stage is small. But what do I know, I'm just a drummer.

Obviously they don't need to jump around to get the crowds attention, the music does all the talking. I respect a band like this, one that's not dressed to impress, they play music with heart because it's what they love to do. They aren't there to put on an act. That to me is what music is all about.

I'm a musician as well. but also an avid show goer. some bands can make that connection with the crowd simply with what you're saying, tssf. others you can feel a connection simply with the beat or the sound. i feel that mostly in hardcore like incendiary, bitter end, backtrack. the chariot got to me simply cuz they're so crazy live. theres bands out there that can do all three. hundredth is my best example. sure stage presence is key but the connection cant be made with presence or words alone.

i appreciate when people actually realize how we get down...we all grew up with an amazing underground hardcore/metal/pop punk scene and i witnessed most of it. we all love our local scene but understand what story so far is doing.this band took pop punk to were i sub consciously have always thought it should be... every state should take pride in the crowd performance. out of respect for the band

Whatever they're doing, it works. This band less than a year before this show occurred played to literally a few people and look at it even then. This band will be huge in the years to come, despite whatever they do on stage. Seems to be Parker's role with stage presence anyway xD

I agree they do need to move around more, the only excuse they really have is the fact that their guitars are plugged in directly to the amps, they're not using wireless pick ups so if you jump around to much you risk unplugging your guitar, especially when you have tons of people running on the stage, having all those chords gets messy, people trip over them, etc etc

Nah, it is. It's just been so frequently misused because it's often a little bit challenging to discern what is screamo and what isn't, or people are just too lazy to look up what it actually is and attribute it to anything that has "screaming" in it.

Personally, after going to their gig where I live (Perth, Australia), I think they perform excellent live. I don't think they lack in stage presence or anything, Parker was constantly moving around the stage, as was everyone else. Again, Parker constantly interacted with the audience more than he needed to and I know for a fact he and the rest of the band had a good chat to some people before and after the gig. Half the people commenting probably have never even seen them play live. Shut up.
