The 3rd Gens bone is hard plastic like, artificial bone. The Institute creates the blood vessels and muscles, then they add the artificial skin. It's so advanced that you can transter robotic memory to the Synths brain because its both man and machine. Mind is machine

*I mean to be fair about the underwear part with synths, all characters wear underwear, if they were to show genitalia, then they would likely get an 18+ rating, meaning the game can't be sold on consoles. Only PC.*

So do some of the saints row games they let your character walk around naked and disable the sensor and have ass in them they got console releases too and fallout is rated m already for the gore and use of drugs and being able to kill innocent people so it really wouldn't make much of a difference in the rating it's just Bethesda is to pussy ass to include it

1!:50 - Bettany's talk about what AI and Robots will be used for. Yes, Sexrobots is a classic, but Japan already has robots that can help elderly with a little bit of companionship but also to do different menial tasks. To a degree we already have the Roombas swooping around vacuuming, and we have lawn mowers that move around outside. But check out the movie "A.I. - Artificial Intelligence" from 2001 with Haley Joel Osmont. A family really wanted a child but they struggled to concieve so they decide to buy an artificial robot-child. The issue is that the Robot cannot grow old and so will always be a child. Eventually the family does get a child "the normal way" and that child does grow older and becomes antagonistic to the synthetic robot-child. The mother cannot bare the idea of sending the child back to the company for erasure (or destruction) so they decide to just dump the child on the road like some people dump unwanted pets. So Robots can have many different uses, not just utilitarian to clean and do dishes or cook food, but also companionship or even deep relationships (like a parent to a child). The Synths do pose an interesting ethical dilemma, what is Life. Can I build a fridge that is self-sentient enough to get the same legal rights as a Human? If my stove stops working, would it be murder if I sent it to the recycling station and got a new one? Can my Smart Telephone commit a crime and be sent to prison? In Fallout 3 and the Think Tank (I thnk it was mentioned in Storyteller Season 2 or 3) quest hub there is a murderous toaster (might get the machines mixed up). What is actually different between a humanoid that's constructed using circuitry vs one born from mixing egg and sperm in a test-tube with fertilisation techniques? If, during pregnancy, the child is given artificial parts (let's say a pacemaker or a completely replaced heart because one did not develop properly), is it now a machine that doesn't get Human rights? And during the Fallout 4 game, you will have to decide on a faction to champion, to the detriment and destruction of the others, so now you decide on which faction you think will be the best for humanitys survival. The noble but weak Minute men, the idealistic but single-minded Railroad, the military strong but domineering and tech-hoarding Brotherhood of Steel, or the scientifically advanced Institute which also uses possibly self-sentient (because how do you know if an Ai is sentient or just adcanedly coded to seem sentient?) robot slaves.

Yep. A future we are headed towards for sure. Which is why Detroit Become Human wasn’t so far out there with the science fiction. And rights for robots being an issue down the line 🤔

I mean I feel for the synths, but also I get the hate, from an apocolyptic, future of humanity perspective, is it really the best thing to have robots feigning humanity around? It's kind of like the arrogance of man pre war, thinking they had reached the top and nothing could take them down, then boom,the bombs drop and humanity is blown back to the Stone Age, I have to say we wouldn't really be doing ourselves any favors by creating something that by all means is better than us 10 times over, and not expect some kind of come uppance, synth technology can and would be as dangerous, if not more so, than the technology that built the bombs, it's just another way humanity is making itself obsolete in an already uncertain future. That being said, I think it wouldn't be as bad if the synths didn't think they were human and were trying to integrate themselves into society covertly, if they knew what they were, and built their own society in their own place with their own rules, and got into craftmanship, trade, and beneficial things, they would have a much better go of it.

I mean, the AI we have is NOT a true AI.... it's actually an extreme exaggeration to even call it AI at all.... it's more like a artificial replication. it can't actually create anything or do anything that we don't feed into it in the first place. It's basically a fancy copy/paste interface. and that's why there is so much discussion of the use of it being theft or having other ethical issues, bcause thousands or hundreds of thousands of creative works have been fed into them without the permission of their artist or writer, and once an AI is trained on a data set there is no way to untrain it. There is NO way that giving an artificial human that kind of (fake)AI would function in any way other than the same way as any other kind of robot. It's simply not the same kind of AI as we see in scifi at all. So the idea that we get synthetic humans in our lifetimes because "we have AI" is less likely than you'd think.

The institute (the guys who made synths) should have been, by all accounts, the best thing the wasteland had left after the bombs fell, primarily due to their advanced technology and potential for terraforming. Unfortunately, by the time Fallout 4 came out, the writing was very much…mediocre, and just pegged the Institute as evil bogeymen without any nuance. I mean there ARE good things about them and people within, but by and large they deserved better writing and nuance, something that has fallen to the wayside for all of Bethesdas games post-Fallout New Vegas :(
@Gensolink
@Gensolink Жыл бұрын
what gets me is the lack of ultimate goal with the faction, no grand vision for the wastelands they're mostly interested in their own survival despite them claiming otherwise. They just do science stuff that dont seem to be logical, like they could use their synth tech to make labor that doesnt tire but instead they made robots to replace humans, because science ? Also new vegas wasnt a bethesda game kinda unfair to compare it to games that came after it and even then people dont seem to like FO3 very much

Lets be fair, after the bombs fell the Institute or the Enclave are the top dogs... Maybe the think-tank. The institute wasnt unrivaled tech wise. Hell, we even have the Shi as worthy rivals.

Fallout New Vegas wasn't even Bethesda's writing. Bethesda didn't fall in writing quality. They never had any writing ability in the first place. Skyrim, for example, isn't loved because of the lackwit story, it's the mods.

I suspect synthetic humans would completely replace the workforce, they won't ask questions or form unions or even need payment. Now whether that will mean a socialist future of food, water, housing, healthcare, education security for everyone, or the bleak reality of what will be a sort of capitalist paradise for the rich, with more exploitation and neglect of the poor, we will just have to see.

Your gonna have to download the mod at the site they put in the description of video it take you to a fallout mod site but it’s for pc however mods are now available on console thought you have two the paid mods and mods that free but you are limited on the mods you can download except for the paid mods Anyway the funny thing is I don’t know if this canon in fallout tactics the Chicago brotherhood of steel took over a whole city and depending on the ending the brotherhood either are savior with there army’s of ragtag fighters or villains to the many tribes,ghouls,human survivors and settlements and mutants that they once allied with
