Tony’s pattern has caught me more largemouth bass than anything else. Also caught a few trout last summer with it

Where did you get them legs from. They don’t sell them here in Australia
@Svenddiesel Жыл бұрын
They are just silicone tab legs. If there are any bass jig making guys down there they should have them

Do you notice any difference between a single and double weed guard in terms of getting hung up on vegetation?
@Svenddiesel3 жыл бұрын
Being honest I haven’t since I don’t fish them where weed guards are not needed. So I can’t give great feedback on this.

@@Svenddiesel How would you tie in a double weed guard?
@Svenddiesel3 жыл бұрын
Tie two pieces of 50-60 lb mono on the top of the shank and well into the bend so they are touching each other in the top of the shank at angles, not stacked. Tie the fly. Then bring them up on each side of the hook through the lower lip of the frog and tie them off on right behind the eye. You could also do a double guard off the hook eye, but I prefer the loops so it doesn’t affect the pop as much in theory

Would a black Sharpie fix the black on the foam? How are you liking the NorVise? Thanks for the video. Cheers!
@Svenddiesel5 жыл бұрын
Shawn yes it would totally work. Also if it didn’t have spots you could add them. The vise is great.

Where can I get those foam cutter from.
@Svenddiesel Жыл бұрын
Any fly shop that has access to hareline. From river road creations. I’m sure Tony would ship to you direct as well

where is the website please where I can order the frog foam cutters in the video?
8/0 is a heavy thread? yeah ok. not something i would use for tying on foam...
@Svenddiesel Жыл бұрын
It depends. I’ve used 12/0 and cut the foam. I guess you could lay down more wraps for a base before tightening the foam, but then why not use 8/0 or even 6/0. The foam will float even with lots of 8/0 wraps 😂😂😂
