When I was a kid (mid/late 1980s) I use to ride this train. I boarded the station where it is now and travelled in the opposite direction. The train use to go down the inner loop for the first lap and then the outer loop to return to the station on the 2nd lap. Use to love riding the train as a kid and look forward to taking the grandchildren on it soon 🙂

Kent sure is nice. I was impressed when I went there in 2021. Hardly any litter or buildings without paint compared to Up North.

This was a good video & vlog, have grown up in Medway towns most of my life, experienced a ride on this, was different when I rode it as it had the classic train coaches on it when I rode with friends & family. Think this could do with major upgrades now like maybe an extension, change in track gauge, new trains? New station & maybe even railway travelling in heights via bridges, landscapes & more tunnels? All in same place & along park? Would be epic I think, could even maybe add train shed to this? Aswell if happens? Could retire track, train and build a museum for it? Displaying all of its history inside? Just think an upgrade is needed now, especially to bring back more locals to use it & for tourists to come & visit. Nice vlog, have liked & shared and look forward to more in future. 😀👍

That's not just an abandoned line that you crossed it's also slightly radioactive from radioactive waste from submarines in Chatham Docks

The railway was run by the council and still owned by it but the owner of the cafe runs this purely out of a labour of love, his grandfather ran steam on the railway in the 50s/60s... its literally struggling which is so sad.. I live 5 minutes away so visit and help put when I can!

@kenperrin8582 definitely still running.. only filmed my video of it back in July and its still going but seasonal.. only normally march - October it runs and the loco is stored in the tunnel

Yes, this video was only a few weeks ago. It seems to only run on Summer weekends.
