Rudolf Höss is known as one of the most evil Nazis of the Second World War. He was a man who was the Commandant of Auschwitz and he built the concentration camp into the largest killing site of World War 2. At the end of the war he tried to hide out but eventually he was captured by British forces and he was then brought to trial. However after the huge amount of evidence that was given, he was sentenced to death however Rudolf Höss' execution was one which was rather different and special.
Following the announcement of the death sentence, those who had survived Auschwitz came forward and lobbied the judges and Polish authorities to allow Höss' execution to take place within Auschwitz. This was allowed and on a specially created gallows, the Commandant of Auschwitz was executed within his own concentration camp. This was unique as most convicted war criminals were executed inside of prison yards or execution chambers.

Hi all - brought the other video offline tonight due to a slight tweak needed. Here’s tonights upload. Please note: the use of the word special in the title relates to the petitioning of the judges to allow the sentence to be carried out within Auschwitz, making it rather unique as a new gallows had to be made. Thanks all.

So shocking and abhorrent what Rudolf Hoess did to prisoners Auschwitz. I like your detailed explanation of the war crimes committed by him and his fellow SS thugs. At least he met justice at the end of a hangman's noose for his abhorrent crimes against humanity. Thank you for this eye-opening video. Keep up the good work of educating your viewers about the dangers of letting twisted ideologies such as anti-Semitism. I notice that he received an extremely short drop from the gallows. This would have ensured an extremely long, slow and agonising strangulation.
@sanjosemike3137
@sanjosemike3137 Жыл бұрын
Perhaps. But in terms of physiology, the brain goes into unconsciousness almost immediately after blood supply is closed off. He probably felt the "pain" of his weight against the noose. But even that would be a short time. The movements of his legs during strangulation were likely expressions of neurologic anoxia. It is unlikely he was aware of his "situation" for more than about 1-2 minutes. But we always wonder if he knew he might be held liable for his sins. @sanjosemike3137

@@shadowwolf9503 A hanging is viewed in two ways: Separation of the neck vertebrae and the spinal cord, and otherwise, slow strangulation without separation of the spinal cord. The metric is simple: A short drop is just strangulation. A fast drop, applying the laws of physics to cause torsion of the cervical vertebrae at the bottom of the drop is ruptured spinal cord. That is immediate death. Probably painless. In the movies of Albert Pierrepoint's executions, you don't hear what he did: The snapping of the cervical vertebrae at the bottom of the drop. He knew it was "successful" if he heard the snap. It is not discussed in the movies about him. How do I know? When I was a surgical resident at an army hospital, I read the capital punishment manual of hanging during my pathology rotation. I don't know if it is available online. I never looked it up. Something wrong here: We're told that he was executed on a gallows '...the trapdoor was released and Hoess crashed through.' Oh really? There doesn't seem to be any trapdoor on the gallows and moreover, he's clearly perched on a stool on the end of a short rope on the gallows in the last photo of him at the end of the post. Indeed, the executioner is clearly just about to pull the stool away from under him. So no crashing through a trapdoor, neck snapped, immediate death... just a short drop on the end of a rope, which means he slowly strangled, which probably upsets none of us at all.

Very well , he got what he deserved for killing many innocent Jews , but the question is who is going to execute those who massacred million and half Arminian’s and so many Israeli war criminals who buried alive many Egyptian soldiers in 1967 they were prisoners of war and should had been treated as such

So Hess repented and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior!?! That really puts the the prayer the “Our Father” into a new light, heh? Forgive us, as we forgive.can we doubt the mercy of God now? If we do, we are all lost. Lord have mercy on us all.

MY NEIGHBOR VISITED THE POLISH DEATH CAMPS LAST SUMMER; SHE SAID IT WAS A VERY EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT SHE WILL NEVER FORGET. VERY MATURE MATERIAL FOR ADULTS ONLY BUT SHE FELT IT WAS IMPORTANT FOR HER CHILDREN TO SEE AND LEARN FROM IT AS WELL.
