@@GiordanDiodato I have 50/50 belief on this aliens watching us because of a story from my great grampa he was born in the 20s in the Philippines and he told us about the woman and her husband who lives in a mountain near the border of Capiz and Antique. When they were out looking for tubers and wild chicken they happen to stumble across a metalic gate on the side of the mountain. The gate made a mechanical sound and a young woman in her 20s greeted them and invited them in. They gave them bread with sour sweet red filling and milk. The husband also gave great grampa a peridot bracelet with wrist band made with silver and great grampa said that the bracelet shines like a blue fire. The bracelet however is now in the possession of our relative who works for a rich family as their accountant and I barely know him and everyone hates him because he was cocky and arrogant but if only I could get the glimpse of that bracelet then maybe my assumptions of it belonging to an alien might prove it. Also the couple told my great grampa that they would be moving out of the place because the war was ravaging the whole country and that japanese soldiers were raiding houses. The whole place was very secluded and also trespassers are not allowed because the whole mountain was bought by a private person. Though sometimes we came there to visit by visiting an overlooking terrace tourist spot near the area

Ah, the mystery of the Phobos probes was always a good one. Nice to see Bedtime Stories has a better version of the final picture than the one that was going around in the '90s. As far as I know, this is one that has not been very easily dismissed or disproven. Aside from the common explanation of "Soviet bullsh!t" to cover up failures in their space program. It is perhaps worth noting that with the exception of flyby imaging, none of the space-faring powers has shown much interest in continued detailed exploration of Phobos. There's definitely been no talk of more attempts to land on it.

A Bedtime Stories’ vid is just what I needed right now
@aperson13 жыл бұрын
FYI: Although this story is quite nice and compelling, the actual cause for the event has been determined to be the second of the three computers failing- as mentioned early on, the first computer had already failed en route, and there's no particular reason to think that this wouldn't have been the case for a second time. I'm unfortunately unable to find any direct evidence that Phobos 2 took any images of a "large elliptical shadow on Phobos" among the 37 images beamed back to Earth. The only source I can find for this is from various UFOlogy and paranormal websites- and although I wouldn't put it past the soviets to redact certain images, it does call into question how these fringe investigators managed to find entirely new data that nobody anywhere in mainstream science could. (I would link the image myself if I didn't fear it being marked as spam and autodeleted but it shows up at 10:00 on this video): Looking at the actual image, assuming it is in fact real, it could very well be the shadow of the spacecraft itself on the planet. The spacecraft was quite elliptical on its own, but with combination of that and streaking across the surface, it could produce a very long ellipsoid shadow. It was only 50 meters above Phobos at the time - and was quite a large spacecraft itself at a good ~3-5 meters across, so I'd be surprised if it DIDN'T cast a deep shadow. some other nitpicks: [at several points in the video] - the phobos 2 team could not have identified an unknown mass near the spacecraft without observing it directly. The spacecraft didn't have proximity sensors or whatever, it pretty much just had a handful of cameras, a couple of landers, a spectrograph, and a magnetometer. None of this would have made a nearby "large mass" readily apparent within minutes of the data coming in. 10:33 - the unknown mass physically could not have been 20 kilometers in diameter. Phobos the moon itself is only 20 kilometers in diameter, so such a shadow would have cast across the ENTIRE MOON. Furthermore, the edges of the shadow are very rigid, indicating it cannot have been very far off of the surface and thus not very large. Also, 20 kilometers across is MASSIVE- we regularly find asteroids just a few hundred meters across in the asteroid belt, and there is no way that a spacecraft that large could have been in the vicinity of Mars for more than a few hours at most without some astronomer somewhere spotting it. 10:47 - why can't it just be a smooth boulder? Space is a very big place, and there are plenty of boulders all over just about every moon in the Solar System. I'd be surprised if none of them looked even slightly unusually shaped. 13:13 - the reason for this is because Phobos orbits so close to its host planet of Mars that the tidal force has fractured the moon - you can actually see the signs of this as large cracks running all down the moon. You need no far-fetched explanation to describe this when this natural cause already predicts the same thing.

@aperson12 жыл бұрын
@@steveperreira5850 Indeed it does, lmao
@steveperreira58502 жыл бұрын
Sam, I really liked your analysis, a lot. I’m a scientist myself but I don’t dabble too much in astronomy. I was very perplexed about the 20 km longitudinal diameter of the so-called flying saucer. I too was wondering why this wasn’t detected by someone else. And for what reason would some alien intelligent beings need a 20 km sized battleship to destroy a tiny little satellite. It’s especially funny to hear the narrator talk about the bigger object ramming the satellite or, he goes on to say “somehow blast it away”. …. Or words to that effect. Really I laughed out loud. It seems to me that if they wanted to get rid of that satellite, and maybe they did, they wouldn’t have to work too hard at figuring out a destructive solution, being they are like 1 million times smarter than us if they have a 20 km size spaceship! I’m not gonna deny that may be something you’re various happened out there and some aliens got bored with regular observations human idiocy and decided to throw a monkey wrench into the works. Maybe they do that on occasion I don’t know. I was very amused at the beginning, being an electrical engineer, and a former avionics technician with radar and radio experience, how in the world did they detect this alien craft approaching, since I was pretty well sure that they did not waste payload on defensive radars and collision detection equipment in the vast emptiness of space. Come to find out it was just cameras and shadows, and that reassured me that the Russian bastards are not completely paranoid. Hard luck for those Russians, too bad they can’t figure out how to make an actual microchip, and if they could maybe they would have computers that would work properly, stealing our stuff and cobbling together computers from western components, well they just don’t have the whole game down. No wonder Their makeshift computers fail all the time, Because in fact they don’t even know how to make computers!

I really really like this style, The Bones on Mars, There's Something On The Moon, etc. I'd be thrilled with a channel that just covered mysteries related to space exploration. I have an idea about this: crust displacement theory, it is the noise of the crust shifting south...what evidence of this apart from the noises ? The fact the sun rose 3 days late in Greenland, the fact Insuit elders say the sun rises and sets in a different position (they are dependent on the sun for navigation), the fact that animals beach and birds fall from the sky (e.g. their magnetic map no longer matches the position of the crust) and the fact that polar north has moved 40 metres and runways in Canada have had to be remarked. The Earth has not moved: but its crust has!

LEMMiNO's newest video (Bygone Visions of Cosmic Neighbors) includes a segment on Phobos II. Apparently, the elliptical shadow is Phobos itself (LEMMiNO shows another photo from the ESA's 2005 Mars Express orbiter), with the already-elliptical shadow stretched out further by the way images from Phobos II were constructed. (LEMMiNO doesn't go into detail, but it sounds like they took multiple pictures in rapid succession and merged them to average out sensor noise and Phobos orbits so quickly that the shadow moved relative to the ground between shots.)

So I don't know if this was already brought up and I haven't watched the video yet but the name Phobos immediately caught my eye. In Greek mythology Phobos and Deimos were the twin sons of Ares and Aphrodite. Deimos was the embodiment of " the feelings of dread and terror that befell those before a battle." While Phobos was the "embodiment of fear and dread during battle." So it's really odd you would name anything after either of these two. I only know this because I'm working on a book where there are two moons on this world and whenever one of them is full everyone gets really depressed and suicidal and every once in a while they both come out as full moons and it gets full on purge mode.
@KnightspaceORG3 жыл бұрын
Why wouldn't astronomers name those two moons after mythological sons of Mars (Ares in greek myths). It only seems fitting.

@justastudent14233 жыл бұрын
Ill be real with you, Nessie is a very poorly made hoax, it was admitted so both by the person who threw the myth to mainstream media and the person who took that famous picture. Not to mention there was no consistency whatsoever to sighting reports before that one picture. Giant snake, giant sturgeon, water dragon, demons, the "description" of the monster changed with whatever was currently trending before the picture. A more insteresting case which might actually lead to something is the USS Stein incident.
