@@marclytle644 O, am I so glad I found this.... No, Hogan wrote that one later, Marc. He debuted in 1977 with "Inherit the stars". The video reminded me of that novel. I had to wrestle through the many science babble chapters at first - I was quite young and impatient - but I'm glad I finished that novel. The plot is highly original and gripping and AMAZING. On the moon, artifacts are found. The biggest find is a modern space suit that could have been made by NASA, and in it a well preserved human corpse. Two scientists take it on them to find out where this human - carbon dated 50.000 years - had come from. "Charlie" is definitely a human, but his eyes are a bit larger than most earth people have, and there are more slight differences that puzzle them. Despite Charlie's note book and a way to translate his writings, they don't find the answers, at the end they can only conclude that cosmonaut Charlie came from another star, another galaxy. They couldn't have been more wrong... I don't want to spoil the secret, just that the last chapters tell what happened to Charlie, and what happened to a very important clue, an artefact, that was thrown away by an archaeologist in a bad mood. The ending did not only make me drop my jaw, it constricted my throat, the sheer tragedy of Charlie moved me. Hogan wrote a BRILLIANT sci-fi novel (albeit a bit outdated on Techs), surpassing Arthur C Clarke's idea for 2001, A Space Odyssey. Inherit The Stars should have been a super bestseller.

There is a book on this topic for those who liked this. During the Cold War, both Russia and United States researched psychic powers to see if there was something to it. Apparently, there really was and the United States allegedly hired a man who was remarkably good at it, named Ingo Swann, to perform what is called Remote viewing, which is the ability to see something at a distance impossible to the naked eye, on the dark side of the Moon. He describes seeing "people" there, with machines and a lot of stuff going on. He also describes seeing those beings (who look pretty much like us) walking among us here on Earth. For those who like an adventure book, is a heck of a good story. The book's name is Penetration - The question of extraterrestrial and human telepathy, by Ingo Swann.

IMHO corruption at the highest level, worse than our imaginations can possibly imagine. Thank you I will look up his book. There are stories that I have listened to on KZbin from several of our own astronauts that tell about what they experienced on the moon. They seem very sincere and have no reason to make this up! There is something or someone up there right now!

@@JamesOberg I am talking about actual astronauts in their own words, who had walked on the moon. I doubt very seriously these videos are still on KZbin! These videos were on KZbin over 10+ years ago. Most of these kinds of videos were deleted when KZbin changed. Anything that even remotely resembles a conspiracy theory or goes against the mainstream narrative, has been flagged & deleted by the KZbin AI. "Suspension of Disbelief" is a wonderful concept. It allows one to thoroughly enjoy these sorts of film clips and then to extrapolate upon them. For example: The vehicle that we call the moon, and recently visited, arrived in Earth orbit with its occupants many millennia ago when interstellar distances were significantly shorter. The subterranean (sub-lunarian?) race founded a subterranean colony on the Earth with a primary egress point corresponding to the Bermuda Triangle and another lost in the vast wasteland of Siberia. A smaller companion (or pursuing?) vehicle suffered a cataclysmic event, the resulting debris from which formed the asteroid belt. I grew up reading Asimov, Bradbury, Clarke, Dick, Heinlein .. all the way through the alphabet to Wells. Even more than admiring their ideas, I admire their work ethic to have put down their ideas on paper for the astonishment, entertainment and edification of others.

"Suspension of Disbelief" is a wonderful concept: true. But I did not find something interesting to extrapolate from your comment. It is proven that the surface of the moon has the same composition of the Earth's outer layer. So the moon does not come from far away. And they found this out with different telescopes in diverse wavelenghts. No need to have a person on the surface of the moon. But according to this concept: maybe the aliens found the perfect camouflage for their spaceship?

I really miss those slow motion film clips of Armstrong during his first steps on the moon, filmed from 50 feet away (who was manning that camera?). In lower gravity, one would move faster, not slower, as there would be less resistance. Neil would have been running around like a track athlete.
