Wait, the Azure flute was never distributed? We had an azure flute distribution here in Greece from a toy store called Jumbo. I have a shiny Arceus stuck in Pokémon Diamond since 2009. I remember that the toy store had a special event cartridge like the one for shaymin and darkrai. They even had an advertisement on TV for the event distributions because Pokémon Diamond and Pearl were BIG in Greece. I remember when I was a kid and I begged my parents to take me there to get the Azure Flute for days. I skipped English class to secretly go on my own there to get it in the end.

We had it in the UK too. I still have my legit Platinum Arceus, none shiny like, but I do have one. Game did the distribution for the Azure Flute.

No was never distributed, probably getting it mixed up with the arceus event given out that same year with the trios signature moves and judgement. Only way to get it was action replays. :/ The fact that masuda came out and talked about it being cut still boggles my mind. 😂

Started my Arceus hunt last year and got the shiny within ten minutes, unfortunately I was cocky and tried to catch it in a premier or luxury ball, leading it to eventually struggling to death after miscounting how many moves it had left. I was devastated, took me nearly a whole year to finally reclaim the shiny. Suffice to say I wasn't going to mess around the second time, I just threw a master ball at it 😅

Watching people's experiences on this hunt is so interesting. Not only is it cool to see the reaction, but I am always very curious what pokeball people want to catch arceus in. From what I seen, most people prefer luxury balls for arceus. I made a decision long before the game was even released. I would save my masterball for the hope that arceus's event would be distributed AND able to be shiny hunted. I usually don't like masterball's, but I felt it was the perfect ball for the god of all pokemon and the only one fitting of the master ball. To this day it's the only mon I have ever used a masterball on.

This video is making me appreciate my hunt a bit more rather than being frustrated by it. I'm currently at 1,948 resets in Brilliant Diamond. I was spoiled by getting shiny Darkrai after only 852 resets. I knew that shiny Arceus was only available a few times in the past but seeing how rare it really is gives me the motivation to keep going.

I finally got mine. Been trying for two weeks now while watching Netflix. Probably took 10+ hours. I tried once this morning and on my first attempt and I got it! I got surprised and then nervous that I wouldn't be able to catch it or misclick. Finally got it. Saved twice to be sure and then immediately transferred to Pokémon Home

I’m well over 200 hours on Arceus (save says 93 hours, but Switch says over 300), and still haven’t found it. I took a massive break for several reasons, and just today I’ve picked it back up because I don’t have SV yet (getting it for Christmas), and there’s nothing else I want to do.

@@NoasArks thanks! This is actually the first Soft Reset hunt in the franchise that I have actively dedicated a significant amount of time towards. (Besides VC Celebi). Others I’ve tried are Latios in ORAS, Mewtwo in USUM, Registeel in multiple games, and Heatran, also in BDSP. I’ve actually got a Sableye on my team with Imprison/Recover to block it’s healing if need be, and it’s completely immune to anything it can throw at me, but I don’t have a Master Ball, no thanks to a Random Weezing I found on the way to Heatran once. I even have a nickname picked out for it (Over Heaven).

Thanks! To be honest I recommend sticking with the hunt considering this is the only way you can shiny hunt Arceus, there are other ways you can just get a normal one if you want one as well!

For some stupid reason I put off playing Legend's Arceus for so long. I just finished the game the end of November 2022. I have never really shiny hunted. The only time I have was for a shiny Raquaza in Soul Silver which I did only because it's my favorite legendary. It's the only shiny I have that is legit and not a freebie (i.e Red Gyarados in HG/SS). After completing Legends Arceus with how rare shiny Arceus is I've decided to shiny reset for this one. Right over 500 encounters and haven't gotten it yet. Unfortunate I missed the Darkrai event as I would have liked getting one but oh well. Might try shiny resetting for some other legendaries.

Funny thing is That When I Was Shiny Hunting Dialga Palkia and Giratina Before and beating the game Playing Legends Arceus beat that and got to Arceus and then as when the Arceus event came out played my Brilliant Diamond Day one of the Update I did the Shiny hunting Arceus Becasue it make sense I did first want to hear the Arceus theme in BDSP ost and and did make sure to look up the moveset thank to someone you did Catch it early so I knew the stakes at least and then in day 1 2 Hours and 11 Mins while I was in a Discord with some of my friends joking catching a Shiny Camel Becasue I know of a fan OP Camel charater so I Joking say that and such And BOOM! Shiny Arceus Shows Up DAY 1 of the Update end up catch it without a master ball got it I'm a Timer Ball and think got it in 5 to 6 turns I think still have the video of my reaction I Can Say I do want do this Again IN Shining Peal just Becasue it so great!

Yup! It’s permanent as long as you catch Arceus on PLA first on the same Switch account as ur BDSP save! (I think you also have to be in post-game in BDSP too)
