Hello from Japan ✨ The special items that cannot be acquired were distributed in Japan in some special demo discs that came with magazines. There are some Japanese videos showing how to get them (but you need the demo disc).

Digimon World 1 was a childhood gem that took me forever to figure out. I was stuck in the early parts of the game for a while before I got the internet so I could figure out how to recruit some of the digimon. Game was so much fun to play though.

I really enjoyed those days though when the internet was in its infancy, you had to blind playthrough everything or you hear things from others that may or may not be true and so you weren't as anxious about missing anything and that's kinda beautiful, I still try and play blind most the time first time but then I end up playing the games again with a guide to get everything for completion purposes which I would never have done back then, not that that's inherently bad.

Leomon is my favourite boy. When I was playing this instead of studying for my final year of high school exams, Leomon and I kicked butt all around File Island. I didn't know how to get an ultimate, nor had the patience to train the stats. My fondest memories are of Leomon and me. Thank you for the great video. I love your commentary!

In Digimon World Dawn and Dusk there's a door blocked by a Starmon that you can't enter. I 100% that game to see if he would move. Apparently it was a " Scapped" idea that they just left in the Game.

correction: panjyamon's japanese name is still panjyamon! "ice leomon" is a name that earlier english localizations used for it that got phased out. fun fact: panjyamon's name comes from the father of the main character of jungle emperor *leo*. hence why it's a level higher than leomon despite being only a recolor

You know what's Funny I think Panjyamon in the case of it digivolving into some type of Glitch almost makes me think that Apocalymon was gonna be in Digimon World 1 base on the Size and how the Software simply just couldn't handle such a sudden digivolution so yeah that's my guess/Theory as to what the Glitched Digivolution was looking to be maybe? 🤔

7:00 This is incorrect. IceLeomon is alternative name for Panjyamon in english. Digimon Frontier is the first source I am aware of that uses it. They had a few new recolor names in that. Such as the "ShadowToyAgumon", and "ShadowWereGarurumon".

Yo, did you know only a few days ago vice 2.0 came out (hardcore Digimon Mod) i would enjoy a video on that. Its not super hard after you unlock the shop but its stilll a change

I'm going to add a clarification: - The Vice hack is not a hardcore mod at all. It does not increase the difficulty of the game in any way, it actually makes it easier by fixing bugs and adding features that can help (and are either optional or can be disabled too). - There is a hardcore hack that people seems to like, that one was also made by me, but it is a different hack with its own changes. There is a "Vice hardcore version" which mixes both hacks and adds a few extra changes to "hardcore" to adapt it to the "Vice hack"... - People like to use the "Vice hardcore" version and then call that "the Vice hack" or even just treat "hardcore" as "the Vice hack"...

From the 5 cut item digimon, I think it is kinda noticiable that there's a weird pattern. Back then there was no Mega level. So MetalEtemon would be Ultimate. In this game Panjyamon is Champion, same as Leomon. Gigadramon and Megadramon are both the same level. So it's more like they were cut enemies that then became cut digivolutions. It's the same for everything else that isn't a recruitable digimon, they're all same-level recolors of boss encounter digimon (Think how ModokiBetamon is the recolor of Betamon that you can battle as mob, and aren't playable). Kaminarimon might have been a Mamemon recolor at one point (Thunderballmon being a rumored Mamemon family member and all that) And WereGarurumon's item just proves that WereGarurumon being cut, as pretty much all digimon had corresponding items. What makes me curious is why these other 3 that are more or less functional were considered evolutions at one point, while no other 'recolor' is.

The card trading method works better by using the card dispensing machine in file city.The one in file city is one hundred bits per card , but if you buy the card Packs, it is 500 bits per 3 cards.

IIRC The answer you found was that the reason those 3 digimon's data are in the game is because they were part of a contest in a magazine that was exclusive to Japan were the winner would send their memory card to the game devs by mail and then they would return it with those secret digivolution items added to your inventory.

Hey Car! The secret Digimon were looked into during the "Secrets and Lost Content" video I made, but busting the many Myths and Rumors surrounding them wasn't the point of that video (although I still did end up doing a bit of that back then, too 😅). In this video, I tried to look deeper into the often repeated and shared "methods" from back in the day. Still, some old ground was covered again, and not all the topics I had in mind for this could be covered, as I ran out of time. Still, I feel like this video is pretty fun, if nothing else 😅.

The only one where you sent the memory card was MetalEtemon. For the other 2 you just need the premium disc which was a demo, and the demo disc which is different color. You input a cheat code and access them via gift on your actual save file later

The thing is Panjyamon, Gigadramon, and MetalEtemon were only implemented for the purpose of the promotion with the guides as mentioned in the original secrets video. If you used their respective items without first having had digivolved into Leomon, Etemon, or Megadramon prior, you'd also unlock them on the digivolution tree. SydMontague's digivolution guide and the evo calculator he made on GameFAQs is the ultimate resource for this game as far as the digivolution mechanic is concerned.

Why not hack and see what can or not digivolve to? I did, in case of Leomon, nope, he doesn't have the path (code) to Panjyamon. WereGarurumon was the last Digimon that had a developement Digievolution line. He had all developed, except for the criteria to digievolve into (wich i think it was disable) and the model. Panjyamon, Gigadramon and Metaletemon never had a digievolution line programed, although, the only way to get them is through the items (or hack).
