G3 Mewtwo won’t be the best for one reason: there’s a mandatory Poochyena-a dark type-before any TMs, so struggle strats are gonna take a toll.

I did an Emerald run with the bonus disc Jirachi (so it was considered traded) and the first half was surprisingly difficult. The Poochyena meant I had to level up for Swift, the Electric Gym required so much leveling up compared to everything before it, and then Flannery spams Sunny Day and Overheat against a steel type, all while not being able to level up too much due to obedience. The rest was easy, and I think the final level was 45 or so, but the type combination was miserable at the start. I imagine Mewtwo wouldn't be quite the same since it would be over leveled before gym 1, but that Poochyena is gonna cause a toll to its time for sure.

In Gen 2 Mewtwo with amnesia does not need a single fighting type move.

@@MedQu2 Amnesia got nerfed in Gen 2. It only buffs Special Defense. There's no real Dark type threats apart from mandatory Houndooms. Sneasel's base Special Attack is a joke so it's not a threat and Murkrow gets murked by Ice or Thunder Punch.

@@ShiningJudgment666 I know this. This is exactly why you need it. Mewtwo was nerfed. His special defence became 90 instead of 154. So by using the move amnesia you get a plus 2 in special defense which makes it very bulky against many threats and you free yourself from dynamic punch and submission. No crunch can 2 hit KO it anymore. No thunder or fireblast is a threat to it. So Amnesia in combination with substitute which prevents 1 KO hits and being statused with paralysis, freeze being burned and poisoned makes mewtwo much better. Also the substitute stays longer as your risen special defense makes it harder for the opponent to reach the HP points it would take to destroy the substitute. In combination with leftovers you have a winning machine. So Mewtwo with leftovers, psychic, amnesia is already a monster. Now if you combine it with thunderbolt for Lugia, Ho-Oh and most legendary birds and aerodactyl and lapras or ice beam for celebi and lugia or dynamic punch to hit Tyranitar on its 4 times weakness go fighting and stop snorlax (it confuses Pokemon) or hidden Power rock to hit a Shadow Ball Ho-Oh on its 4 times weakness or Shadow ball to hit Celebi and Mew... It all depends. Dynamic punch is actually next to hidden power Rock the best. or

The funny thing is it's actually in the player's favor when an AI uses Hypnosis due to the 25% status move evasion buff. Zam and Gar should have a good time in gen 2 also, those special elemental punches don't mess around (particularly for when and how you get them). As for the ending, I'll speculate that Kyogre will almost certainly be the king of gen 3, with the possible exception of the Eon twins (especially Latios) if Soul Dew is in play. I doubt Deoxys normal or attack has quite the muscle to steamroll a min battle solo run since they both get obliterated by a light breeze, and Tate and Liza is probably an auto loss.

Seeing as the latis don't get a non- psychic damaging move till level 20 and in emerald the first non- rival has a poocheana the latis are NOT going to have a good time. Latios also HAS to get to level 20 since it gets memento at level 5 so you can't struggle.

The only reason whitney was a problem wasnt because of Whitney herself, it was because you went in at low health thinking it would be fine. It won otherwise. Thats like saying bruno is a challenge if you kept going in at half health all the time then finally deciding to heal before the fight, winning easily Also what people are saying you made a lot of misplays.
