This movie should be a great example of looking into movies "based on a true story," because this movie is based on a true story/true events, but take inspiration from a different crimes with the main inspiration coming from strangers asking for someone who didn't live at the director's house when he was young and home alone with his little sister, who had opened the door. They were knocking on doors to see if anyone was home and if not would break in to rob the place.

See, for me personally, I have a loaded gun stashed in every room of my house. I grew up in the middle of nowhere and we knew that every gun better be loaded and better not have that safety on! So I'd probably turn the tables and start hunting them myself🤷‍♀️ I would say if you are going to wait in a room to shoot them you need to wait in the corner of a large area where you can see who is coming. Then, never use a flashlight at night, you may as well just tell them where you are! Also just because you have flat tires it doesn't mean you still can't drive that bitch!! You'll just be throwing sparks with the rims as you go but at least you'll be going!

The part where she's alone...then the stranger shows up behind her and stays there...and does literally nothing even though he could have, then leaves. THAT is terrifying! O_O No jumps, no music, just him being there.

The basic concept is taken from Halloween which was made over 20 years before this film. The only difference is that Michael Myers actually attacks someone after he stands in the background if memory serves.
