There's a really interesting tid bit I will say - but not until after you finish the series - about the baby playing infant harry. Really glad you guys are enjoying the story! Can't wait to see your reactions to the rest. Susan Bones, the hufflepuff in the beginning is actually the Director's (I think) daughter I am sad that they've made Ron the comedy relief throughout the series when in the books, Ron is more knowledgeable about the wizarding social side of things, but they gave a lot of Ron's quotes to Hermione. For instance, in the scene with the Devil's Snare, it was actually Hermione in the book that was freaking out and exclaimed she didn't have any wood to make fire and Ron's retort is "Don't have any wood?? Are you a witch or not" I love the little plot twists in this series. There are a lot of call backs to previous movies in like, spells used comes back to even the first movie.

being in theater in highschool, our director always stressed watching the end credits for all the people working behind the scenes to give the techies some recognition!! i love that marvel has end credit scenes to give incentive for people to stay for it! also i am quite disappointed. i have been watching every reaction to this movie to see others experience the joy of yaoi and i have only seen i think one reactor call out how this movie is a gay romcom. look at all the promo, look at how ryan and hugh talk about the movie. ITS A FUCKING LOVE STORY BETWEEN WOLVERINE AND DEADPOOL i thought it was because it was so many straight men watching the movie but you!! should have seen!! the enemies to lovers in action!! the honda odyssey fight scene is literally just car sex. in the bts ryan even refers to it by saying theyre showing everyone how violence is their love language. THEY BECOME ROOMMATES. the closure is him accepting that vanessa doesnt want to be with him in that way anymore and knowing its good enough to be able to be in each others lives, that she can get to have a life. Logan says himself that he walked away when the xmen called his name, that he ALWAYS walks away, and when wade calls for him HE STAYED. HE STAYED AND WENT HOME WITH HIM. in x2 Jean tells logan that he isnt the kind of guy a girl brings home. but wade brought him home. everyone logan has ever loved has died, often by his hand or because of him, but wade cant die. when he wakes up in the middle of the night with night terrors, claws out, wade will just heal right back up. hes not a dangerous animal, despite what his entire universe and cassandra has to say, despite what he thinks of himself, wade believes he is the best wolverine. Why is nobody fujoshi-ing out anymore?? WATCH THE DIFFERENT STORY TIMES WITH DEADPOOL AT DISNEYLAND. he literally confirms it. TO A CROWD OF FAMILIES. They are in love your honor.

I love how you guys picked up on the main theme that so many people miss - Dani's need for support and to have her feelings validated, something that was only provided by the cult. You might have noticed by now that family is one of the most common themes in Ari Aster's movies... Also, Talk to Me was not directed by him (though I understand why you would think that, the style is similar) but he does have another movie called Beau Is Afraid, which is amazing and didn't get nearly enough attention. Would highly recommend checking it out, it's an even wilder and crazier ride than Midsommar and Hereditary combined.

This movie references some of the first DECENT superhero offerings. Until Blade, almost everything us older Marvel nerds got was cheap TV nonsense. Things like Blade and the original X-Men mean a lot to us too, even if we didn’t grow up with them, because, for the first time, they took our childhood heroes seriously. Maybe not my favorites, necessarily, as Kitty Pryde was never featured much in the X-Men movies, and that was the LEAST interesting version of Rogue, but better than silly TV movies regardless. As for the rest? Liked Daredevil at the time, would have loved Elektra if not for them shoehorning both a maternal story line and a love interest story in a movie that technically didn’t need any of that. And even if you added one or the other, it might have been okay. The FF movies were a bit silly, but comics are a bit silly. The references mean a lot to my millennial kids, but no less to me. Hence the movie’s popularity overall.

In the comics, Wolverine is 5'3" and, not counting the adamantium, is about 200 lbs. As a result, he has a very stocky, yet really powerful build. However, at least to me, the short variant looks significantly shorter than 5'3". When Wolverine was created back in the mid 70s, it was intentional from the start that he'd be shorter than average as it fit with the "wolverine" image. Wolverines are short, stocky, powerfully built, incredibly ferocious, and virtually fearless; they've been known to run off thousand pound grizzly bears and entire wolfpacks from their kills.

They did Sabretooth dirty 😂. In the comics, Sabretooth has a tradition of jumping Logan every year on his (supposed) birthday, just to give him a beating. It's been going on for ages and unlike the movie, Wolverine hasn't been able to kill him.
@jeffreymeehan3116Күн бұрын
Two reasons for that. 1) They want to keep a reoccurring antagonist around in the comic books 2) This R-rated movie uses more...relatively realistic rules than any animated series or works of literature. Notice how in most of his Saturday Morning Cartoon fights with Sabertooth that Wolverine can't actually stab another human being. Hell, on the 90s era Fox Kids version of Spider Man he was forbidden to punch anyone or mention blood. Outside of the theme song of the show.
@Ryan--G20 сағат бұрын
@@jeffreymeehan3116 In the comics, he eventually decapitated him after decades of back and forth, but it required the use of the Muramasa blade (which nullifies healing factors). ST's healing factor is turbocharged and FAR superior to Logan's, which is why any attempted beheading never sticks. Even without a head he's not 'dead'. The answer here though was just to subvert expectations, which was pretty funny to be fair.

Super late to this but stoked either way! Waiting for this since the first Deadpool reaction of y’all’s 😅👍😉 I can say that this was one of the best theater experience I’ve ever had , as I basically sequestered my self after the first teaser came out! If I to pick I’d say that the Gambit cameo was what I enjoyed the most. Gambit has always been my favorite X-men character and HOLY SHIT did Channing kill it here…especially the accent! Im so stoked that not only did they not dull the accent down in any way, but they played it up a few times for comedic purposes and yet…for me…it all still tracks for the character regardless of Deadpool,s jabs 😘👌 I mean like seriously tho…I wasn’t really convinced back when it was still being talked about (Channing playing Gambit in a solo film) ages ago.ffs 🤨 but I’m actually kinda bummed that we didn’t get it now😬🤷♀️ Blade would have definitely been my favorite cameo otherwise…as I also lost my mind (along with everyone else in the theater but…then I saw that freaking card come into frame and 🤯😳😱lol But anyways…as a whole I absolutely adored this freaking movie my dudes! I had high expectations and this movie (for the most part) just blew my mind and it proved to many that (believe it or not) Disney /Marvel are in fact capable of putting out good/great content, they just have to stay the fuck out of the way when it comes to properties such as Deadpool! Love you guys! As always this was another awesome reaction my dudes!!!😉👍😅

It's all about the metaphors with this movie. It's Deadpool connecting with the matter stream because all he has ever wanted was to matter. It's the Wolverine punching into the anti-matter stream because he feels he is worthless and doesn't matter. They literally bridge the gap between matter and anti-matter saving the world.
@przemekkozlowski7835Күн бұрын
You could dissect the metaphors in this movie for hours. Almost everything is some sort of callback or jab at Disney, Marvel, Fox or the general superhero fandom. Logan was the Anchor being because Wolverine became such a core part of the XMen movies that without him the franchise died off. Deadpool thinks he is Marvel Jesus because everyone was proclaiming the success of the Deadpool movies as the salvation of the MCU. Paradox is essentially a studio executive trying to kill off a movie franchise because he wants to use the resources for his own grand project. etc...
@dionnehymanКүн бұрын
