So I actually went to the elementary school that Mary Kay Letourneau taught at in Seatac, WA. I was in the same grade as Vili Fualaau but had a different teacher… Looking back now and also being so young.. I don’t think any of us completely understand what was going on and how big of phenomena this would become. How crazy the media storm would be. It really did change that student/teacher dynamic and what was appropriate behavior in schools and with educators.. And the story just got more bizarre, not just because Mark Kay was grooming and SA a child, but because the relationship continued!! They had children and then got back together when she got out of prison! I remember going to the same HS as Vili (aka Buddha) as well… Everyone knew of him there of course and it seemed he started to like his notoriety. Like so insane… They both were very very troubled people who honestly ended up liking the media attention and totally capitalized on it.

I mean, there really isn’t another name for it though? I’d say the practice itself is far more disgusting than the name for it. Though as evidenced by your comment, trying to police the uncomfortable language is much easier than advocating for the end of the disgusting practice.

@AndrewBarsky it should be inferred that the practice itself is disgusting. Because a beauty queen is a real thing with adults.

6:11 iirc, it has since been stated + accepted by official investigators that not only was the note NOT believed to have been written by Patsy, but also that the benchmarks of comparison yielded an incredibly low similarity score EVEN AT THE TIME. And (again, iirc), that suitcase was an old one once assigned to the oldest Ramsey boy as part of the FAMILY’S luggage, which was later deemed to be used as a stepping stool to the house’s one broken window (recently broken by the locked out dad to get into the house himself).
