Hey, Brazilian comment here. This wolf is called "Maned Wolf (Lobo Guará)". It is a beautiful, mystical and docile species of wolf. And, despite the size of this wolf being large, this species of wolf does not attack or is ferocious and only feeds on berries and small animals such as birds or mice. Unfortunately, they are really rare as they are threatened with extinction just like blue macaws here in Brazil (Unfortunately, blue macaws are already extinct and the only ones found are in sanctuaries or research centers to try to save the species). It's terrible that there is so much trafficking in the skin of this beautiful animal.

Pretty common to inner areas brazilians domesticate hem. So not exactly uncommon to see them roaming on roads. Theyr extinction is not related to urbanization, but due te fact hes pretry low on south america food chain. And also due to its reproductive monogamous behavior. The maned wolves only have a single partner on its life. If one of the couple dies they no longer look for another one.
