Superman’s arc is very clear when you look at Zack Snyder’s trilogy. Man of Steel: Clark grows up an outsider, then deciding to rise above the hate and become a hero BVS: Clark doesn’t know if what he’s doing is worth it, but still choosing to lay his life down for a world that hates him ZSJL: Clark is brought back to life and sees what he’s doing was worth it, he’s inspired people to become heroes That shot of the League standing together with the shining sun fulfills what Jor-El says. They joined him in the sun.

I understand everyone's criticisms of the MCU Spiderman trilogy. But they obviously made Tony Stark such a big part of Peter's story so that we as an audience could have the big, emotional scenes in Infinity War and especially Endgame that we ended up having. The "Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good" scene, and the Iron Man death scene in Endgame wouldn't have hit as hard if they didn't build up the relationship between them that they did throughout the movies. So for better or for worse, it kinda makes it work for the story they are trying to tell. The story as in the greater story of the MCU as a whole.

37:23 super late but if you’re going to argue man of steel shows Superman of the world today then you have to give Tom holland the same courtesy. The MCU trilogy is showing the spider-man of today. And he does sacrifice something in each movie. Homecoming, he sacrifices all of his extra activities, time with Ned, and his homecoming. In far from home he sacrifices his time with MJ to be Spiderman and no way home he sacrifices everything.
