I'm glad I'm not the only one who considers Vivi a Strawhat. She technically did join the crew with the X tattoos, and she never officially left. She just never set sail with them. If Luffy met up with Vivi again or was asked about it, of course he would consider her still a crewmate. I don't see why we should consider her any differently.

My theory is still the following: Cobra literally asks too many questions at reverie regarding the void century and poneglyphs, which we all know is basically a cardinal sin at this point. World Government finds out (I mean, the reverie IS at Mariejois), that Alabasta harbors a poneglyph. The Gorosei try to kill the ambassadors of Alabasta and use a Buster Call to destroy the desert kingdom. Vivi escapes to the New World and informs Luffy of the happenings. She permanently joins the crew, has her tragic past, AND the entire plot finally gives Luffy a reason to go against the World Government to start the final arc in which Luffy overthrows the government, frees the world and becomes the King of the pirates.

Would love to see them both just show up to make the save for the Strawhats at some point, and then we get the emotional reunion we’ve all been waiting for for decades! Hey cool, I have the same theory. (Only difference in mine is Vivi would escape in her ship with Pell, Chaka and the Soldiers, and joins the Straw Hat Fleet instead, as the 8th commander of the fleet) Either way, let's hope something along these lines happens, it would be a really cool development for the story and emotional stakes of the characters. @@SchrollShepard I LOVE the idea of her being a Fleet Commander! Luffy's obviously assembling an army, whether intentionally or coincidentally, and every army needs a General. Who better for that role than our Pirate Princess? The crewmate he's already publicly acknowledged as an "incredible leader," and he CLEARLY took the humility lesson she gave him at Drum Island to heart, when he refused to fight at Jaya, just like Shanks did, and he had the foresight to know to bolt at Sabaody when that was all going downhill. That also wouldn't stop her from being a Core Strawhat, because that's how Blackbeard works. Each of the Ten Titanic Captains obviously has their own fleet and ships they oversee, with Teach effectively being the Fleet Admiral over everything, but when he needs that group of 11 to fully assemble for something big, they do. Sabo's also likely with her and he's got Luffy's Vivre Card to bring her straight to them. Plus, as I just realized rewatching Drum Island, Vivi was literally the first Strawhat to learn about Blackbeard at all, along with Usopp, and even though some might match them up more with Nami and Chopper, she technically has two foils of her own in the Blackbeard Pirates with Catarina Devon (who would totally want both her and Nami's heads) and Doc Q and Stronger, since she and Karoo are the "2in1" member of the Strawhats, like they are for Blackbeard! I'm also curious where Rebecca falls into this since I don't think we've seen Team Dressrosa post-Im, and since two-thirds of the Princess Trio are on the purge list, I imagine our "Undefeated Woman" is getting swept up in this before too long.

Another idea: The reason we saw the Revolutionaries freak out about Sabo in the newspaper could be because of the Government attempting to kill Vivi and her Father, (as they consider the Nerfertari family "traitors" to the World Nobles), but Sabo intervening and saving Vivi. Which could in turn lead the government into framing Sabo for the killing of Vivi's father. And Sabo + Vivi would then escape the Reverie, with him taking her to Luffy in Wano, or something.

Either that or the Strawhats are going to come out of Wano, see the obviously-fabricated headline from Big News Morgans of, "King and Princess of Alabasta murdered by Revolutionary Army's Chief-Of-Staff," or whatever it's going to end up being, we get the full break-in into Marejois, by the Strawhats and possibly the Army, they get Vivi out of there, she fully joins the crew, she and Robin have their Nami/Jimbei moment, she tells them about Im, the death of Cobra, destruction of Alabasta (hopefully by Akainu,) etc., and they all 11 get to officially redeem themselves from Marineford, since they've all been carrying those scars, Vivi included since none of them could there for Luffy when he needed them most. The training will have effectively been worth it, and they can all officially go against the WG as a unified force of 13 Strawhats, (unless Boa, Rebecca, Viola, or even Perona, since she's headed into a dust-up with Blackbeard by herself, need to be picked up because they decided to Buster Amazon Lily or Dressrosa too. Im could also have their Thanos moment of just being like, "Alright, get me a ship, I'm doing this myself!" Either way, I'm super-hyped and think we're going to be in for a real treat once Wano concludes! Plus, we might even get Dolfy vs. Luuci, since he seems to be expecting an assassination attempt, and I'd think they know they really need to just shut him up, before he starts spouting everything he knows since I've a feeling he knows what that XXXL Strawhat means!

Though Vivi doesnt travel with SH, she is still one of the crew member. Her role would be a dancer/entertainer to SH that compliment Brook as a musician. She keeps trail about them and the world so that when she comes back she can provide them with a lot of info. Her role can be as a spy or something. There are two hints- Firstly at the end of her journey she asked 'Can I still be called SH nakama when we meet again?' and SH raised their X-marks. Secondly, like the other SH, she did use the two years time to train (This would explain her ability to jump so high from the top of the ship) She will come back after Wano because after that mostly it will be about the SH vs WG. She wont travel with them cos it will put Alabasta at stake, but she will be officially in as a spy for SH.

You know, I always debated where the final battles in One Piece would happen. Would it be Raftel, right next to One Piece. Or Mariejois, with the fall of the world gov. However, all this talk of Vivi, gave me a third option; Alabasta. What if the WG invades Alabasta to secure Pluton in their war against the Revolutionaries. Setting up a perfect situation to have the Marines & Warlords vs The Revolutionaries & Pirate King Luffy's forces(Luffy fighting not for Dragon, but Vivi). Bonus Edit: Luffy would be pretty close to Alabasta too after reaching Raftel. They would just need to go back over the river mountain (allowing a heartfelt reunion with Brook and Laboon), and they would come back out close to Alabasta.

The saddest part of the arc to me was that Vivi did manage to get through to Koza, who hurriedly tried to stop the rebellion before anyone died, but ended up getting shot. She was so close to avoiding any bloodshed. Incredibly close.

I'm a very new OP fan coming off of the tail end of Naruto like two years ago. Vivi became my favorite female characters hands down for a LONG time after Alabasta. 25:00 One of my favorite moments is actually at Drum island where Vivi get's shot. However she keeps begging them for help and even tells of Luffy who is about to take revenge. I think that is one of the very few instances in which Luffy actually backs down. Though for me Wapol comes across more as incompetent than evil. He is causing his subjects a lot of misery but he really isn't internalizing it. This is very different than for example Don Flamingo who is extremely aware of such things.

You forgot to talk about one very crucial as well as funny aspect of Vivi's personality. How she knew all the dangers of alabasta but would never warn them, and would only say, "oh ya, btw, this happens here". She did it with Kung fu dugongs, then the birds who stole their luggage, then the giant insects who hunt in pairs one of which was killed by ace. there are many such examples but these are all I remember right now.

Vivi is honestly probably my favorite character in the series. i love her blue hair, her beauty How even tho she is powerless she still without fear puts herself in danger for those she cares about. Her general personality she is a character who achieved ussops "dream" at a younger age and without going through everything he did. - i think i recall crocodile saying he has been planning to take the country for 10 years. not 100% sure. - i like the manga at the whiskey peak . she wore clothes that disoriented her enemy rather than the anime which she just used perfume. - The people at whiskey peak only kill people they cannot capture. they lose 30% of the bounty if the person is dead. ingram states this during that ark. - That vivi haki idea 😆 - the rebecca haters have issues.

Reverie: Cobra asks his question(s), is assassinated. The Nefeltari family is branded traitors. Vivi and her entourage are forced to flee, and she meets the Strawhats again (maybe Wano, or just after), and she finally joins Luffy's crew once and for all, maybe?

@@TheVintendo Well, since she is wanted, she can't just go back to alabasta with people coming after her, she will basically take the danger back to her country... For alabasta to be safe, just let pell and the others go back while she go different ways and let the government follow her, of course she needs help and that is probably the revolutionary commanders and Sabo stay behind to let them escape safely... Cobra died and will for sure make Vivi think that WG or world nobles are corrupted and she now wants to bring them down, that will probably lead her becoming a revolutionary before reuniting with the strawhats and tell them what happen that will trigger Luffy to fight the world nobles head on to rescue his brother and avenge(?) Cobra, if boa were to be captured by the marines then Luffy will have to fight a war at the new marineford to save boa, win that war and head straight to holy land where Sabo is. Akainu will of course be at the holy land and the person he will probably fight at the war is green bull and fight Akainu together with Sabo in holy land.. Straw hat grand fleet, samurai, ninja, minks, revolutionary army and probably alabasta/dressrosa kingdom if they find out what luffy will do, are the reinforcement of luffy against the wg. And for sure this time, Garp will mostlikely help luffy save his brother. If the last poneglyph is at holy land then their next destination are the 4 islands that are written in the 4 red poneglyph and then some of them is probably the island that they already went to and finally, laughtale and the final world war. There you go, the probably what will happen after wano to the end.

Alabasta has quite a bit of prestige and is also quite large. So I don't think they'll kick them out so easily. Rather they would kill Cobra quietly and make a clear threat to Vivi.

Had kind of a theory about Vivi where something would happen at the reverie with Alabasta to make it so Vivi can't go back to her country without causing problems which causes her to meet up with the SHs and become a true crewmate for the rest of the series.

Also, imagine if Oda pulls the greatest asspull of the century. Neither Carrot nor Jinbe will join the Starw Hats, but due to Cobra's actions at the Reverie, Alabasta ends up attacked and ravaged, and a new royal family is appointed, leaving Vivi the sole survivor of her family, and she end up joining the Crew.

slight corrections. the rain powder was not actually used in alubarna, it was just shipped there in order to make king cobra look bad. the reason the towns outside of alubarna had no rain was because crocodile made it that way as rain nullified his devil fruit. This was shown by the fact that when luffy knocked crocodile out, it started to rain. This was because crocodile no longer had the strength to maintain the drought. Also, in whiskey peak, they did not kill all the pirates that came their way. They generally got the pirates black out drunk, stole their treasure and turned them in to the world government. This is because even in the case of pirates who are wanted dead or alive, you do not get their full bounty if you turn them in dead but you do if they are turned in alive. Thus, they only killed the pirates that gave them too much trouble, who they felt they would be unable to turn in alive.
