This was a very awesome video AT! I really enjoyed the engagement with the amazing people of Cape Town. I prefer both random tours because you're like free roaming and more flexible, spontaneous you even met your fans, and with a tour guide I guess I'd say it's a bit restricted, but at least you'll get more accurate information about the place you're touring and you will get the most out of the place in terms of the places of interest/ historical sites etc 😊, so both types of tours, I'd say have their pros and cons.

There's no other Country in Africa that is harshly judged like South Africa . I visited different provinces and i really enjoyed the country especially upcountry : Joburg is abit chaotic just like any other commercial City. Honestly speaking SA is more developed i don't know why is not classified as First World. Better than most European countries
@donaldmacdonald99933 жыл бұрын
Mashariki it's true my brother. European economies are struggling because the service sector is not doing very well. Remember a huge chunk of manufacturing is done in China and south east Asia. Most of them rely heavily on tourism, so to eliminate competition they have to bad mouth excellent african tourist destinations. The second reason is that they don't want their post colonial generation to see first hand progress on the continent as they may question the old racial stereotypes and the pervasive racist narrative. Lastly, they don't want others to be exposed to Africa and its variety of opportunities and attendant resources. That's just my take on this.

Us south africans we no longer care bout negatives they say bout us we accept the hate nd move on we got job to do which is better our country.

South Africa is a First World country. The term "first world" here is not the best choice in this specific case. You should use, Developing, Newly Industrialised, and Developed to describe 1st World, 3rd World Countries. First World and 3rd World are outdated and linked to what happed post world war 2 and the cold war.
@donaldmacdonald99933 жыл бұрын
@@MosesMatsepane I'm glad my homie you corrected yourself. Let's desist from using the colonial discourse because every country is developing. Covid 19 has exposed the lies that these European countries are developed, their health infrastructurr and political systems could not cope with this moderate pandemic. Thanks to social media we can see the rate of homelessness and hopelessness in the 🇺🇸 and the rest of Europe. Poverty levels are rising annually and most of their citizens are dying from preventable diseases such as diabetes and heart ❤ disease. The current generation does not want to have children because of high cost of living and opioid pandemic currently ravaging their communities. The post colonial West is declining because of other rising powers and unfolding disunity among the west. Let's just pray they don't take the world with as they usually do when they do not get their way. The only thing that is saving them is the strength of their fiat currencies that are not backed by anything.

African Tigress, South Africa has two parliaments, the one you saw in Cape Town is the legislature used by MPs when parliament is in session, mostly where the law is made. The other parliament is in Pretoria which is the administrative part where the President and his cabinet ministers are based. So basically laws are passed in Cape Town but all the execution and planning of the implementation is done in Pretoria. When the President and his cabinet have to account they have to go to Cape Town parliament where the national assembly is.

I'm Kenyan... having nostalgia as you're going through all those streets. Got lots of memories that I had when I lived in CT. One time I was gifted with a pair of nike basketball sneakers, that weekend I went out on long street, was out all night, in the morning, I went to the gardens to take a nap, removed the sneakers so that I could nap comfortably. Tied the shoelace around my ankle so that the shoes don't get stolen. Had a nice nap, but woke up and the shoes were gone. Went home with socks 😂 Imagine trekking to the train station with socks 😂. Home was Observatory. Then another time I was around the Museum in the Gardens, Then the former president Thabo Mbeki was exiting the museum, managed to get a photo with him, then I lost the photo! After a few weeks, my friend the owner of the camera left the country, yet I hadn't downloaded the photo. We had not exchanged contacts, he left to his country, and that was it.

Cape Town no Hawkers beside the road where people walk, no trash beside the roads no littering in the streets no masses of people standing for nothing securities all around the City for safety no mud or dirt on the streets but well paved and roads well maintained buildings in good state and the infrastructure is well maintained there is order and friendly people in Cape Town that is why I always say this city has no match in Africa. Africa is a country Cape Town is a city other cities in Africa are villages .

That's what we need in Johannesburg. Hawkers have trashed our city. But then, our poor people need to make a living.

Nice vid, let me make a correction. The parliament that you saw there is the parliament of South Africa not of the Western Cape as the man said. A lot of Hollywood movies are shot in Cape Town, that's why the man asked if you were shooting a movie. It is unlikely to live the city without seeing a movie being shot. Cape Town also has only movie studio in Africa. There is no red soil visibility in all SA cities. So don't worry about your shoes being stained. South Africa is one of the most diverse countries in the WORLD. In every city you will meet people from all over the world. The people of South Africa have a great sense of humour. We love to laugh and talk candidly. Have a ball in SA.

Excactly. And the Company Garden was where vegetables was grown for those ships so many centuries ago . Company Gardens refers to the VOC .

When are you coming to Johannesburg sandton? The most beautiful city in Africa, small than Capetown but way too beautiful than cape town
@donaldmacdonald99933 жыл бұрын
Thabiso say it again. Sandton is more beautiful than cape town without a mountain or beach. I'm glad there is a person who is not scared to say that. Cape Town is over rated in South Africa, Durban is also more beautiful. But I'm for Jozi all the way, the.most vibrant and developed city on the continent.

As a South African, it is very interesting to watch your videos from an unfiltered perspective. You seem to bring out a lot of the positives aspects from people here - its diversity and friendliness of our country which is often missed in the context of the public image of SA.

This video is definitely the positive side of Cape Town with clean streets and friendly people. It looks very much like Namibia because both Cape Town and Namibia were one country before. However, Cape Town is segregated and it's dangerous in some areas. There is also very high unemployment and Cape Town is different in its diversity and government. Cape Town is also very expensive and it is not like the rest of South Africa. No city is perfect though.
