I fill your pain. People don’t understand what it takes to run a business or business’s. They think it’s easy and you’re just raking in the cash. They don’t realize all the sleepless nights and hours you put in. Much respect for you and how you treat your people. From Cajah Mountain NC

Thru the years you and your dad have put together a great reliable working crew. Otherwise you would have to be in all places at the same time. Makes for companies to run smother.

Way back in the day whene I first started driving'1984, the man I worked for had a little wash plant by a creek. He crushed creek rock for the state so we would wash out 1" clean and sand for a concrete plant. We never tested any thing back then but like you said you are mining it. The best part of the video was the Butt Cam.😁 Bad Jim Bad Jim.

I find it pretty interesting to see that your process of measuring the sand, Is basically 100% the same as how we do it in Europe (Netherlands). I always thought that there would be some kind of difference in the work processes. But no. While I worked at the sand mine, the process to measure the quality of our sand was basically 100% the same as what you are doing. We had to dry the sand by cooking it on a hot plate, put it in the sieve stack and shake it for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, we'd measure the sand per sieve. And with every product we'd produce, it would be a solid morning job (4 to 5 hours) to measure all the different products to ensure the quality of the product remains the same. We'd then compare the values to the days before and if we'd notice any difference that was too big, we would have to go in and change up the recipe ever so slightly and test it again to ensure a quality product. And we also did the same thing with our gravel. To ensure that the product leaving the plant always was of the exact same quality as the days, weeks, months before. Shows you how the process is really the same.

Thanks for posting this one brought back memories of testing sand for Dot for there use in concrete and asphalt up here we had some material did a pressure test on did you have to boil that up here we had to. Might be cause we have bad winters they also had to check for coal up here also but like my dad and myself running more than one business depends on employees we had good ones like you that could run plants and other business like we do you have a great operation cause you treat your people right your whole crew just like. Family members makes it a little easier on you knowing they got your back and smart enough to shut down if something doesn't feel right respect given respect back to you you a good person mr Digg i would work for you in a heartbeat cause of how you treat people when we ran are sand plant would make concrete sand and masonry sand at same time just set sand screw dial split for grade of sand for masonry would have so much of that would sell for fill sand and your grinding pile does create heat as breaking down for compost you make a lot of mulch do they use it just down there are they ship it out to other states just curious this is Sunday the 24 of November you open seven days a week now to help get it cleaned up after hurricane just asking you covered good topics and brought back memories to me thanks again be waiting for next video your just a awesome man and more you post a good friend mr digg 9:23

I worked at Union Carbide Niagara Falls New York we made submerged Arc flux and no it's not welding underwater only certain size smaller size would go into the bag final product we didn't force through the screens it's not a true reading so we had primary screens big Derek screens and duster screens put the final product in 100 lb bags about 140,000 lb shift then we started putting it in 50 lb bags because Japan didn't want 100 lb bags so the people's had to move twice as fast

Don't know about the mulching business. I know they wanted to be fast because it's hot. I'm cool with that, lol. I see alot of fines in that. I was thinking a shaker hope feeder before the 866 with a magnet belt. Or a non sived trommel with a magnet belt at the end. This way the material is clean entering the 866. I realize aluminum is non ferus, but if rather have that go through then steel! Also good for nails. Or how about a metal detector in front of the teeth like they do on a John Deere silage chopper. If it sees it, the computer automatically reverses the belt and flashes a construction light to indicate metal contamination.

Ryan why don't you guys use grapple rakes on your equipment? Your guys literally waste 3/4 of the bucket capacity, and you run the risk of the tooth coming off and destroying the rotor .. iv seen it happen before, but it's not a good outcome and not cheap to fix. Have a great day looking to see more from you

I would Never run pallets through a grinder! If the pile is hot dig it up with a excavator to cool the pile down!! One thing Never push wet dirt/wood into a pile of wood products cause it will catch fire. Just saying
@TheRealMrDiGG2 сағат бұрын
the pile is HUGE though
@morrisbatdorf569436 минут бұрын
@TheRealMrDiGG I would dig the pile apart before putting it though a grinder cause its pallets! I don't know your procedure but if it caught fire, its cause someone pushed dirt and mud into the pile. I would use your wet mulch that you been driving on as compost or soil products
@morrisbatdorf569416 минут бұрын
You don't have to dig the pile apart. Just find the source and open it up. I bet there is mud and mulch pushed up in it?
