I actually quite like that there was no audience during this number because you could actually hear the pros having so much fun during it, whereas you can never hear that with an audience
@lorettasmith97304 жыл бұрын
They also look like they are more relaxed and just having fun instead of that all preformed vibe. Its nice. Its like they are dancing for themselves and not the audience.

All of the group dances will have no studio audience, but the live shows and Sunday night shows will have, just severely reduced in numbers. I think they used to cram in 600 people into George Lucas Stage 2, now they barely have less than 100 in there.

Ok, I’m from the US and I use to watch DWTS. Stopped watching fully after season 17. That’s when I started to coming across Strictly videos and fell in love with the dancing. I didn’t know any of the pros or celebs at first. Now after a few years or so I’m starting to remember names and faces. So I know there are some new pros but this number highlighted the singers and musicians. So my question is the dark haired guy with the untied bow tie who takes over playing the drums after the red headed guy with the beard finished his set is he a new pro too or a musician? I ask because he was in the back dancing but was kind of blocked by other dancers and also the bass/cello player she was doing some moves as well.
@MiniMousie063 жыл бұрын
I'm a few months late but yes, those are musicians. I'm glad you've decided to join us over here👍
@sarahrigby75802 жыл бұрын
The first guy sat by the drums with the ginger hair was Neil Jones, who is one of the pro dancers. The people in black and white who take over on drums and the double bass are ‘proper’ musicians from the Strictly orchestra (usually credited as Dave Arch and his wonderful wonderful orchestra, so are nicknamed ‘the wunnerfalls’ or the WWO - Dave Arch is the band leader and conductor and they really are great as everything is played live from classic music to hip hop to gangnam-style and they do it all with the same group of musicians). There are also usually 4 singers that perform all the numbers with the WWO, two of whom are featured here: Tommy at the start and then I don’t recognise the lass in her fabulous twenties attire, but it’s lovely to see them out front and centre, then the last singer is Anton, who is a pro dancer that has been with Strictly since the first season and actually on this season (2020) was moved to be a judge as Bruno was stuck in America. Anton has since stayed as a judge and it’s preferable that way. This routine was shown in full in the first show of the series but was also used for the teasers and trailers before that. It worked really well. You can see that each pro dancer has a clear moment, even though Nadiya is the lead. The 2020 season of Strictly had huge viewing figures: we were in and out of lock down here and it was grim. So many people lost in the winter Covid wave 20/21. Strictly gave a much needed boost of cheerfulness on our screens and so pleased that they managed to produce a series in the middle of Covid, obeying all the protocols with the dancers isolating themselves for weeks to make it happen. Strictly is continuing to provide sparkly joy in dark times and I very much appreciate it, although I do really miss Oti.
