I find it sad and funny how many people criticized Julian's work. It's like the only things that matter the must is "This Is it" for them. They had underrated all Julian's work after that FIRST CD of the Strokes but honestly each Album from Julian is very special, they are all great , including the last one With The Voidz. His music and lyrics are way beyond comparing with others musicians and also he is original. Not many musicians out there Like Julian Is.

El album es impresionante, talvez el mejor album que he comprado. Y si, es identica en los acordes y melodia a la cancion de Mana. For me, it feels that the song is about drug addiction. The fact is that Albert H. Jr. wrote it after coming back from rehab. The character tries to get out of his addiction and understands there are a "million reasons" to start a new life ("find a job, find a friend") that could be more enjoyable than being higher underdose. Throughout the song, he tries to convince himself to refuse to do drugs and start rehabilitation; as you can be triggered quickly and unexpectedly so that nothing won`t stop you from taking another dose, you won't be afraid and won't feel anything at all except unconscious satisfaction ("It’s just a trigger that goes once and you’ll be unafraid"). But that feeling ends soon and you suffer (The silence that you brought has gone, gone, gone).

To those complaining, No this does not sound like "Take On Me". It is a different sound, it is a different melody. It's the Strokes. No this is not Is This It. You're still living in 2001. There have been 3 albums prior to this that were also not Is This It. Big surprise that the Strokes have changed their sound over the years like every other band. Don't read or listen to what music critics ever have to say. They are always full of crap. No one has the right to critique music, or any art form for that matter, because it's all opinionated. Listen to this whole album and tell me that the Strokes don't still kick ass. Thanks for five incredible albums Strokes, can't wait for the sixth.

That's because there is a song in spanish that sounds like this but in a less speed version. The name of the song is El muelle de san blas.

"That shit" is just a band showing a lot of balls by changing their style of music, even in these days. This is how art progress. Deal with it.
