I saw The Strokes live last year right before lockdown they played one way trigger and Julian wasnt really hitting the notes you could tell he was frustrated and at one point threw his mic stand, this version works far better and makes it easier for julian to control his voice, love it

The lyrics are a lot more vulnerable and they're contrasted by a really upbeat tune. Always noticed it, personally, because a lot of the "happier" sounding ones are actually pretty melancholic, especially on this album, which does not get the motherfcuking RESPECT it deserves.
