Usually a blind playthrough would lead you to Maliketh around lvl 110-120. I feel like a lot of people just end up fighting him a bit overleveled or they've seen other people fight him. His moveset isn't as diverse as someone like Malenia so if you've seen a video or two of him then his tells become kind of obvious. He was for sure meant to be a major roadblock for late game in the first couple months of release but his second phase not having a full health bar and his lack of diverse attacks made him kind of easy to learn.

you do have to realize that in most of those matches, the modder nerfed melania hard and took away her healing in a few matches and I believe one of those matches was the maliketh fight. Buffed the hell out of the soldier of godrick boss. Though She did get beat by radahn only cause she started where the player starts and just got stagger fucked by radahns arrows, but she ended up beating him in the second cause it turned into a hand to hand fight.

This game goes from fun and immersive to literally running past half the enemies to get to the bosses to save your runes. Mimic tear can help for sure. No shame using it in late game nick. I skipped half the enemies lmao. Ain't nobody got time for that as an adult that has to go to work.

It's too late now but 90% of the bosses in this game are optional. But the tree sentinel though not required, is best to beat before maliketh if you use or intend to use summons. That's only cause summons for some reason are stupid as hell most of the time and will try and attack the sentinel instead of maliketh.

I genuinely get a little sad watching people shred through these main bosses with the mimic. You don't even get to see most of their awesome move sets. Obviously you can do it if you want, it's in the game but I have so much fun fighting the main bosses solo. I still use the mimic in the open world and on a lot of mini bosses though. Malenia was the only exception. She killed me 42 times and I couldn't take that bs anymore lol
