I was thinking the same thing. I don't think Sukuna will summon Mahoraga, I think instead he will only use the wheel and its ability to adapt to any attacks Yorozu throws at him. Mahoraga didn't felt that strong in comparison to sorcerers at the level of Yorozu to me, and I don't think it will be even powered by Sukuna. Also, when Sukuna defeats Mahoraga the only thing left is his wheel, and Akutami goes out of his way to show it then and also during the fight. So the wheel must be more important then Mahoraga himself and more interesting too, to show Sukuna's mastery of cursed technique. At least is what I'm thinking.

The fight between Yorozu and Sakuna with this locust insect form and Maharaga is a reference to the fight between Tousen from Bleach with his locust form with his sound waves ability and Komamura the cursed Shinigami in his fox form who fights with this living armor samurai creature, that gets hit by the sound waves from Tousen's hollow locust form because the samurai living armor sends damage to the user, later in the story it changes so that the user does not get damage.

Mai created a sword that directly injures the soul. That's a pretty big leap from making a single bullet..... With one she's lethal to presumably everyone in the series, the other she's completely useless.

i think he wont summon mahoraga on itself but only the wheel on its head that lets you adapt to your enemies attacks, if you pay attention the wheel is on top of his head like it was on mahoraga. also sukuna summons different forms of ten shadows shikigamis not only bigger or more powerfull, if you notice he uses different hand signs than megumi when summoning the shikigami, with nue he used a more compact shape of a bird, and with the divine dogs sukuna uses 2 fingers as the snout and megumi always did the classic hand sing with 4 fingers as the snout.
