Before Shibuya, none of the disaster cursed spirits were under the control of Kenjaku. They listened to Kenjaku because he seemed to be knowledgeable, quite powerful and probably seemed to be on their side. Jogo even threatened to kill Kenjaku after he tasked them with fighting Gojo in Shibuya.

I think Kenjaku "manipulating" Tengen is proof that Tengen is now a curse spirit if Geto's curse manipulation works on him. Only reason we were not able to see the same when he absorbed Mahito was because he used his idle transfiguration technique (which was stated to just a one-off use just like his Uzumaki). Special grades have consciousness and high intellect. I am sure Tengen is a special grade curse spirit now.

Tengen evolved and is more curse than human (not completely a curse but enough so that Cursed Spirit Manipulation works on him). He exists all around Japan, his body was just a technique (only usable inside his own barriers) from Tengen to manifest something as a way of communication. Think of it as a puppet through which Tengen can talk etc. Kenjaku just uses the same "puppet"-manifestation of him so he can talk with him more easily even though he is already under his control.

That would be disappointing. And it seems only Gojo has the dark horse technique that can counter both his 10 shadows and shrine. The question still remains, can Mahoraga truly adapt to anything (which by the way was already proven to be not the case as he failed to do so with a much weaker Sukuna's fire arrow) and especially to Satoru Gojo's infinity? It may even be the case that their domains will just cancel each other out. Also, both has close to unlimited curse energy. Can Sukuna even cut Gojo outside of the malevolent shrine? Can Sukuna even use his innate technique with domain amplification? These actually makes Gojo the perfect counter for Sukuna and Sukuna the perfect challenge for Gojo.

People asking why Gojo didn't fight Sukuna and Kenjaku at that spot. If Gojo fought them at that point, he will definitely lose. Hypothetically, If Gojo's power is 1000, 15F Sukuna + TS is probably between 800 - 1000 and Kenjaku is about 600. How do you expect 1000 to beat 1400 - 1600 in a 2 vs 1 fight?
